I like Cotto and hopes he gets his **** back together. But his flaws are right there in the open he will trade stand in the pocket and get hit with shots.

If he gets in trouble he won't hold or tie up and at some point he will probably become tired. He's got some pop in his punches but he doesn't have the kind of power to hurt a big strong Clottey who has one of the best defense around today.

Clottey can be real lazy too and that can be how Cotto wins by overwhelming and just leaving Clottey looking, but can he sustain that for a full 12.Not to mention I've seen Clottey throw some fast combos when he lets his hands go.

Out of all those fights you mention the only one that holds water is Mosley which was a great win. But a very close fight in which Mosley really turned the tides back in his favor the second half of the fight.

 

Clottey's head looks like a mixture of Jupiter and Uranus. Can't wait to see Cotto smash that ugly face to pieces.

 

Cops don't use a battering ram when they wanna knock down doors. They grab Clottey by his arms and legs and throw him head first into the door. Works on the first try every time.

 

Malignaggi is garbage and Torres is basically a club fighter with some power. Quintana is a solid fighter.

Clottey will cover up to block the blows upstairs, leaving himself open to get outworked. Simply put.

There's one fight where he didn't tie up. That was against Margarito and that was partially because of how exhausted he was from taking punishment from Margarito. Clottey won't win the fight that way.

Clottey has stamina issues as bad if not worse than Cotto so essentially they cancel each other out in the "IS HE TIRED?!?" department.

Beating Quintana when Carlos was coming off a huge win over Joel Julio in a fight where Cotto was the underdog wasn't a great win? O-kay.

What are Clottey's big wins?

 

Those were all good wins but not great.Clottey was whooping Baldomir til a late DQ beat undefeated Guitierrez when he was a prospect undefeated Alvarez and a faded Corrales.

Yea Cotto's got a slightly better record but nothing to suggest he is out of Clotteys league especially when you compare their common opponents in Marg and Judah.

If you think the fight will be easy you'll be in for a long night.

I fully expect Cotto to win but this thread won't be so funny if Margarito ruined him and Clottey cracks that chin.
