Question About Oscar's Rehydration on Fight Night against Pacquiao

no. Oscar rehydrated to his usual weight after HBO took the unofficial weight because he wanted the world to think that he didn't have a huge size advantage even though he did. That's why the IV marks were still fresh on his arms

The contract was that OScar had to be at 147 at the weigh-in. Nothing about fight night weights.

 

That was the weigh in, not the fight night weight.

I don't know what happened with the fight.. Manny ended up being heavier than DLH.. if I would of known that I would of picked Manny the first time around. It was manny vs a punching bag

 

First that's a theory and second, 2-3 hours is NOT a good amount of time to hydrate 10+lbs in even if that happened.

 

Its a theory but so saying that he came in the ring at 147 since there is no proof. The weights were taken in the dressing room, and anything could have happened. That's why they are called unofficial weights.

No doubt, rehydrating in such a short period is terrible. It was a dumb move, but noone forced him to do it. I've never said the weight didn't affect OScar. All I said is that the fight was so one-sided that it wouldn't have made any difference. Pacquiao is all wrong for Oscar, prime or not, drained or not.

And another thing is that as time goes on, the haters are forgetting that PAcquiao moved up 2 weight classes for this fight. Isn't that a massive disadvantage as well? No mention of it.

 

He shouldn't have thrown away that big cake Manny sent him in training camp.

You wonder why dela hoya weighed 145 and not 147 and pac at 142? it actually bugged me also especially team pacquiao since pac unofficially weighed 146 before the weigh in, which means dela hoya should have weighed 149 and still look what happened..:deal

Pac murdered Hoya from the first round. The effects of dehydration would most likely show up above the 4th or 5th round depending on the pace. DLH was fresh the first couple of rounds and was still dominated. I think Hoya loses regardless of what his condition was. Pacquiao was overwhelmingly faster and had the game plan for Oscar. He was turning oscar the entire fight. I don't think Oscar woulda been able to position himself better for his punches had he come in the way he should. Compubox stats showed Oscar pulled the trigger but could'nt lock in for power shots.
