honestly, you think chavez had poor defense...:huh

Mayweather won atleast 8 rounds. Possibly 9 depending on how you score it. You could have it even after 8 but Floyd pretty much carried the rest of the fight and by round 10 I believe when Floyd landed like 7 flush right hands in a row, Castillo looked like he didnt want to be there anymore.
Fans? Hell even the haters struggle picking a fighter in the modern era that can beat him.

Chavez ate punches his defense was average at best he could cut off a ring I've always said that but I still feel he would struggle with PBF's movement, defense and speed especially if we're talking about 135 or 130. I'll say it again no slow handed fighter with poor defense will beat PBF. In order to beat him you need fast hands and a great jab. JCC would pose problems but he's simply too slow of hand to beat PBF who could really box him and get off whenever he wanted to. JCC is an ATG but he struggled with pure boxers and PBF would be no different.

Then how did Castillo gave Floyd so much trouble? I know he is good but he is slow handed with poor defense like you say.
Chavez was a monster at 140 and would give Floyd big problems on the inside.
    Chavez by UD.

The scoring for the first fight and the second fight should have been reversed. The rematch wasn't close but the first fight wasn't.

Polls here have little credibility. In case you didn't notcie there's a poll here that asks who are the 3 best boxers of the post SRL era? And Pac has more votes than Pea Whitaker.:-( That right there tells you everything you need to know about the value of ESB polls.:deal

honestly bro, i dont mean to disrespect you...but people who talk about chavez like that havn't really seen him in his prime....defense can be many things, just cause he dont have mayweather or sweet pea defense doesn't mean it was ****.....chavez, like many mexican fighters were/are taught to slap punches off of you so that you can counter right away....plus, you can't teach defense like mayweather and pea, those are gifts from god......

how can you honestly say he has no chance when castillo, a former chavez sparring partner who kind of fights like him beat him.....i mean, i understand a close SD, but come on bro...you can't really think chavez gets whooped by lil floyd....

I'd favour Chavez. Using a pretty simple formula; Castillo beat Mayweather in their first fight & Castillo was basically a poor mans Chavez.

I've seen plenty of his fights and he had the tendency to get out boxed had slow hands ate punches and had average defense at best. While his pressure style worked against some he was made to look average against others.

You are living in the clouds if you think he is getting a UD over Chavez.

How is he going to run from Chavez when Chavez was one of the best aggresive fighters ever at cutting the ring down. Floyd has already showed he could not handle Castillo on the inside so he is not going to handle Chavez there.

At long range he gets walked down. To beat Chavez you gotta be (a) slick Southpaw (b) throw a **** load of punches at him to keep him busy.......Randall,Taylor.

i think chavez definitely has an advantage as he ko'd floyd's trainer twice.
i have a feeling floyd could get a SD on this tho
