I'm leaning the same way.

 

Its easy to cancel Setanta. Pay on a card and then just report the card lost when you want to cancel.

 

You mean just tell the bank to stop paying them?

 

I had mine on my Visa, as soon as the date on the card expired I just didn't tell Setanta the number of the new card.

You can do the same when reporting a card lost, just don't tell Setanta the new card details and they can't take any money out. I did it this way with AOL when they were being funny about me cancelling.

Thats helpful to know, thanks Gaz. If they can't get my sucscribed will just 'lose' the card. I can't be arsed ringing setanta, not for the sake 3.99 a month!

But will they then pass it on to some kind of debt collection agency? I've had companies do this in the past.

 

I've had 1 letter thats gone in the bin, heard nothing since.

 

Just cancel the direct debit with your bank

and then Setanta cant take the payment

if it bounce a direct debit they will fine you

but if you get the bank to cancel it first - should not be a problem

setanta wil probaly send the bill in the post then - just dont pay it

and tell them to **** off by phone

 

Setanta are a con, they picked up all these garbage German shows so they got something to shove down your throat for when they dont cough up for major fights.

They make me laugh when they act like they are doing you a favour when they say we have got this fight for you. Errm thanks for the favour but we are paying for it :roll:

How many of their Broadcasts **** up to ? i dont think ive watched one Broadcast that has gone without a hitch. They are like a mickey mouse channel the way the sound and pic goes all the time.
