if pavlik is such a fine champion why is he happy to let another highly ranked, undefeated champ hang around his division so long?

he got whooped by old man hopkins and now he is afraid of his own shadow

Don't think so. They also had their share of talks about Sturm when he was the man to beat and were never able to make it happen.

Just like I mentioned to you in my previous post, it was Abraham who was being looked at by team Taylor back when Miranda fought him. The injury Abraham suffered and time he had to take off after the surgery is what got Miranda to fight Pavlik and Taylor's team said they will go for the winner of that one. If it wasn't for Abraham's injury he would have been the one fighting Taylor since he already beat Miranda and they already announced they want to fight him, he just got unlucky there and it wasn't because he didn't beat guys Pavlik feasted on. Even if he did fight those guys people will say he feasted on Pavlik leftovers so this isn't really going anywhere.

Going to be a good scrap while it lasts, Oral likes to go toe to toe from what I have seen, AA KTFO Oral round 6 or 7.

OK. Tell us the deal AA/Saurland is willing to do to fight Pavlik. That IS what it comes down to. If the money was this fight would be done.

Why do you think Palvik was second on the list of who AA called out after the second Miranda fight after DLH? Everybody wants a crack at his titles AND a big pay day to boot. Pavlik and Arum have both indicated that negotiations haven't been 'smooth' with Saurland. Just like Winky who hand't fought for 1.5 years demanded a title shot and was insulted at $1.25 million to get it? :patsch

It's also the best fight to make at middleweight right now.

If the money was there for this fight, it would happen. Notice how Saurland threw out the numbers to the public that he says he offered Sturm? Let him make his numbers public now. Won't happen. Know why? They probably, like every one else, think they are entitled to a shot at Pavlik's belts and a career payday in the process. That is one of the reasons Kelly has had trouble getting decent fights. Paul Williams and Winky Wright both claimed they wanted it but wouldn't take $1.25 million. The champ was getting $2.5. What do they want as the challanger? $1.25 is already more than AA makes for a fight but he is reported to want DOUBLE that or MORE to fight Pavlik. Yeah, it is Arum causing the problems.

Let's say they don't take this fight, what other fights are better for them out there?

It's not like they will build reputations fighting nobodies. The division doesn't have enough big names and that's not Abraham nor Pavlik's problem. Both those guys need to mix it up if they want to bring a big fight in this division otherwise both parties will throw jokes about their choice of opponents simply because there's no one better to bring up.

Lost to Marquez and Marquez got the title shot. So is it true that Mayorga might still be a potential foe after Mora?

Abraham is killing himself time and time again to make the middleweight limit and beat up guys that are actually 1 or 2 weightclasses below him. I think Abraham wouldn't suit bad at lightheavyweight considering how he looks at middleweight.
And I also think that's why he doesn't really want to face Pavlik. Not that Pavlik is that good. But tougher than most of AA's competition.
I'd say BOTH GUYS are not in a hurry to fight eachother.
