Rudyard's been saying this baseless **** over and over. Cotto hasn't gassed in fights. He got the tar beat out of him by Margo and faded because he was hurt in that fight, but he's come on strong in the championship rounds in plenty of fights before.
Im so very glad this fight is taking place as it will answer all questions currently concerning Cotto and if he lets a one dimensional slow footed dude stroke him then guess what he is not the force we thought he was. I fully expect Clottey to lose a decision but I want a savage KO with Cotto putting him out cold and shutting haters the **** up.
I for one do not doubt Cotto's abilities or skills. I have always said he is in the elite echelon and the Margarito fight hasn't changed that. But if I ever saw a post that epitomizes the common people underrating Clottey it was that one
Styes make fights...and clotteys style isnt that impressive. He has good defense, a hell of a chin and thats about it. Margo beat th episs out of Cotto and thats why Cotto looked gas. Plus he threw a million punches square onto a concrete chin and it did nothing. He didnt look gassed to me in the Mosley fight, Mosley just came on strong and Cotto switched up styles and boxed/moved (ran) more. It was smart. I dont know so much about Clottey gassing, but he couldnt put away a blown up Coralles who was known for not being able to take a punch really well. I think this fight will be a good test for Cotto's stamina, especially with Clotteys defense. And I really dont know why...but my heart says Cotto and my head says Clottey by stoppage in the late rounds from Cotto gassing out. I just think there is too much going on with the training thing and Pac thoughts.
