i hope haye knocks wlad out

took the words right out of my mouth, altough all the wlad huggers will soon rip in to this thread i hope that haye sparks wlad out, would be a lot better for the division to have a hungry new smaller champ

You and me both. Even though I'm an avid Wlad hater, most of Wlad's recent oppenents would not make good champs, for a couple of reasons. Wether it's lack of skill (Austin), over the hill (Rahman), or just not very exciting (Thompson). Other than Sam Peter in 05, no other Wlad oppenent had what it takes to get the mainstream fans attention. David Haye does, he's got an exciting fighting style, the looks, and the personality to get fans back to being interested in the nearly dead heavyweight division.

I think if your neither a fan or hater of either fighter, you should be wishing for Haye for the good/popularity of the sport if anything else.

Thats just how I see it. Truth be known, I'm a Haye fan and a Wlad hater. In the end my love for the sport overshadows my hate for certain fighters most of the time.

I want Haye to win very badly, Wlad had 3+ years since beating Bryd in april of 06 to get the division out of it's coma ridden state, which was put on the division in 03 when Lewis retired. Wlad has yet to get the mainstream fans attention, and when he had a golden opertunity to do so against Iggy in Feb of 08, he failed and at the end of the fight was booed for his scared fighting style. Haye is a fighter, a peoples champ. Wlad is a good boxer with a boring fighting style, at the end of the day people want excitement, something David Haye always brings to the table.

although i think its going to be a tall order for haye to pull it off, i will definatly be rooting for him, simply because he is a breath of fresh air for the HW scene, all these tall champs with a saftey first approach are killing the sport, what ever happened to a good old tear-up between two great heavys? at least haye goes out on a limb and puts his all in to making sure us the fans arnt dissapointed in what were waching.
