Sounds like you're pissed because you know your boy lost and the real winner may get justice after all.:deal

Don't worry too much about your boyfriend, the decision won't change, they'll just order a mandatory rematch..........

..........Which won't happen because he'll vacate the belt, and go back up to super middleweight or light heavy weight to rematch Green instead.:yep

I think it was close and the difference was Geale going down in the second....it was a good fight.

Great build up for a bigger second fight....Mundine will KO Geale second time round :yep

Like I keep saying Mundine will keep fighting 5 to 15 in MW....he would love the media hype leading to a second fight....means he dont need to fight Sturm or Pav

Ash, if there is a rematch here you gotta put up your betting slip with Mundine KO on it with big bucks buddy.....
Cause if he couldn't knock out has been retirees and superannuation recipients over the last 2 years he aint gonna be knocking out Geale in a rematch.
If Mundine learnt anything from fighting Geale I would suggest it was to stay the **** away from guys who can fight at a high level with an elite work rate...

True, we have all seen him get dominated by a guy with a punch to go with it (Kessler) and he **** himself at the thought of facing him again.

Mundine needed to to be announced the winner, his career would be over if he lost, this wont hurt geale his stocks have gone way up and is now a known name, Mundine can keep sayin he is going to the usa like he has said for the last 5 years and get laughed at.

There was complaining from the Geale camp about Mundine being "disrespectful" by refusing to hold the referee's hand for the decision. Geale was quoted as saying that he had never seen a fighter just walk off to the corner to await the decision.....

The first fight that came to me was Fenech in L.A because I clearly remember him storming into the center of the ring after being robbed...then I remembered about 1,000 more fights where guys like Ali, Dela Hoya, Lennox Lewis, Roy Jones all wait for the decision in their corner.

I can understand Geale being disappointed after losing his title by such a small margin but what's happening now is he's feeding into all the negative bias being thrown around by certain members of the press. These guys have major issues with Choc and go about their work with an aim of spreading misinformation.

Instead of the focus being of the great bout that should have been a major promotion for the sport, we hear about "the great tape injustice" or how a Mundine fan abused an official.

    What a ****ing shame.

The reason a point wasn't taken off Mundine for the frustrating tape debacle was because everyone including the referee could tell that the cornerman was doing his best to fix the ****ing thing. The only time you lose a point for that is if it's intentional...and it obviously wasn't. In fact on two occasions Mundine was on the attack and building momentum when the tape came loose so it would be idiotic to sugest it was deliberate.

As for the idiot calling the judge a cheat. I'd say that had it been a major issue with the judge then he would have asked for someone to remove the guy. Instead he told him to **** off. My thinking is that the hard arsed Pommy judge may have considered screwing Mundine just to stick it up them.

As for the result, I thought it was fair because there were four rounds that I just couldn't split. The ones I could went to Mundine 5 to 3 including the KD so it was always going to upset whoever lost. I have seen many rotten decisions in boxing but this wasn't one of them.

If the IBO uphold the protest them expect every man and his midget to follow their lead and protest if they're still standing after 12.

Finally, I was surprised that Geale left the ring so quickly without thanking his fans and sponsors and his cousins from Tasmania.

I'm not sure if that's correct because I once remember reading that Pat Rafter was one of many Australian sportsmen that have accounts set up in places like the Caymans because they are required to pay tax on any money brought into the country that has been made through earnings.

That means they'd have to pay tax in the country they earnt it then more tax when they get back to OZ...but that's avoided if you put the cash in an offshore account before returning home.
