Floyd is the bigger draw as he puts alot more effort into promoting his fights. Pacquiao is the man of the hour in the sport though and he is the #1 legacy fight right now on top of being a major cash cow.

Numbers dont lie but fact is, Hatton & Hoya's pulling power dramatically dropped after Floyd was done with them. OScar cheated many fans for the last time and Hatton was no longer undefeated. Add to that the economy which is a big factor and there's only 75k difference in the Hatton fights, I dont see what the big difference is.

Gatti is just as popular as Morales, if not more popular and that drew the same amount as Morales/MAB fights. Floyd also fought all his PPV fights AS P4P #1 which is a BIG marketing ploy for generating ppv numbers...Pac generated those record breaking numbers in the much lower weights, SFW and as p4p #2. To make another comparison...what was Floyd's numbers before he became p4p #1....nowhere near if he was even ppv. When they both became p4p #1 before the economy went bust, Pac had him beat with the JMM fight, Floyds fight with Gatti/Judah/Baldomir didnt sell as much.

Numbers dont lie but you gotta look at the circumstances behind the fight. If Floyd fought ODLH now for example, I dont think it would draw even 1mil...thats not saying Floyd is less of a draw, circumstances for making the fight attractive has just changed.

Looking at these numbers black and white is like looking at the fight results of their common opponents black and white. Yea Floyd drew bigger numbers with them, he must be the bigger draw...yea Pac beat them much more impressively and quicker, he must be the better fighter. Everything has "if's" and "but" which complicates things a little bit more.

i think some people grossly overestimate floyd's drawing power. i'm not to sure on the numbers, but did'nt his fights pre-hoya and hatton draw more or less the same as pac's ppv's? im pretty sure it was gatti who drew the numbers for their fight (which was floyd's best selliing ppv before hoya and hatton)

If Gatti drew the the numbers for Floyd (complete nonsense, Floyd was a top P4P fighter then and had just beaten Corales and Castillo) then Morales and Barrera did the numbers for Pac. So its academic.

Floyd did more numbers then Pac throughout his career. Hell is fights with randoms like Baldomir and Judah did more then PAcs fights against Morales and Barrera. ATG's with a huge mexican following.

The numbers dont lie, has has been repeated constantly on this thread. Floyd is the bigger draw. Anything else is just excuses.

    it's 50-50.

but phloyd says he would beat the **** out of Pacquiao and Pacquiao knows that.

so why not do a winner take all? since phloyd knows he will win and take the jackpot?

You guys can argue who is the draw till you turn blue in the face, but in your minds...it comes down to who you guys really like anyway. Some of you don't even justify to yourselves that PAc has to fight Floyd before he retires. You love when PAc fights a weight weakened, old inferior fighter. You got so used to seeing Pac being in relatively easy fights that when someone mentions a true, hard fight for PAc, you dis that fighter that Manny could possibly face lol. You are now fans. God is on Manny's side with many of you guys anyway lol...

Well then, **** me. Numbers dont lie, Pac KO ODLH 9, KO Hatton 2, Floyd SD ODLH, KO Hatton 10.

Pac MUST be the better fighter, numbers dont lie...everything else is just excuses.

Circumstances affects everything....its not black and white like numbers.

If you looked at the circumstances yourself you would realise that Baldomir was an unknown pretty much like Diaz going in against Pacquiao. Baldomir/Mayweather made 350k and Pacquiao/Diaz made 190k.

Just compare numbers when Mayweather is in there with a REALLY popular fighter and when he isn't and you will see either way he's competing with Pacquiao, except for the DLH fight which is double what Pac did.
