What fights are coming up that are under the radar; fights that are not that important in the big picture, but you're interested in them? Mine is the Grady Brewer vs Zaurbek Baysangurov fight in August. It's for the vacant IBO title at 154. I got a soft spot for Brewer, plus, ironically, at age 38 he is fighting better than ever.
Yeah I'm looking forward to that aswell. Brewer's record doesn't do him justice he's a good fighter. I'm wondering how Baysangurov got a shot at the IBO title instead of Bundrage. I know Brewer beat K-9 but that was a SD, and Bundrage obviously stopped Baysangurov in 5. Another one that's really slipped under the radar is Dmitry Pirog v Kofi Jantuah.
Sturm vs Gevor Kotelnik vs Khan Diaconu vs Pascal Cermeno vs Mijares II Hasegawa vs Rocha Agbeko vs Darchinyan
Aydin Vs Bonsu 10th July Wasn't really impressed with aydin in america but i think this will be a better fight
Except you brits maybe I don't really see people talking about Kotelnik vs Khan. And when I see something it's about how Khan has a glass chin and it will get shattered, nothing about the stylistic match-up. Agbeko vs Darchinyan is hardly talked about either. But it's probably still away.
Jason Litzau vs. Wilton Hilario by far Hilario TKO'd Litzau's brother, and smacked him in the press conference. Hilario has a decent record to with 11 wins and 9 KO with no losses. Litzau has the odds stacked up against him with that weak chin, but when self and family pride is at stake boxers become incredibly more impressive fighters.
Sturm - Gevor to me. It's a perfect fight, stylistically. With a lot on the line, a portion of the middleweight title. An orthodox classical technician that is fragile against an ultra-aggressive pressure fighter. Plus its a 50/50. Not many true pick'ems in boxing.
Brewer/Bundrage was a title eliminator. K-9 fought Baysongurov after he lost the eliminator, and hasn't fought since then. Baysongurov racked up a couple more wins against guys with decent records. Also, if you've seen Brewer/Bundrage:yikes NOBODY wants to see that **** again. Brewer, who likes to fire combinations and then clinch verses Bundrage who likes to pot shot and clinch:yikes No thanks! That **** was like a really bad 4th rate amature wrestling match!
