    He has been both good and bad for boxing. As Muhammed Ali said a lot of other promoters have done the kind of things King did. Like Frank Warren he is not an establishment guy but has been very successful. Some of the greatest fights in history are down to him and his arch enemy Bob Arum. They have been synonymous bwith boxing but the game moves on and evolves which it has been doing with the likes of Golden Boy Promotions. One the real issues is that mistakenly some people think the interests of the promoter and the fighter are aligned or the same and this is not really the case.

    You guys talk all that shot about Don King, but he is much better for boxing than Bob Arum.

    I dont like this guy. But there are even worse promoters - for instance Wilfried Sauerland from Germany. Both King and Sauerland corrupted boxing.

    Ahmet Oner, promoter of Gamboa and Prescott, is currently taking corruption in boxing to a level not even King could dream of.

    It was hilarious how he hit the bell in the Williams fight in Spain, they even hosted that fight for free to the public to check out and speak on various sites. Still nothing major happened there and he's left free to go.

    When no one does anything about it then don't expect these guys to stop.

    He's corrupt but it's not like boxing was a clean sport before him. It was worse. He's put together a lot of good cards and events, but ripped off many fighters.

    He's a piece of **** who's done a lot of bad. When he dies, a lot of people in boxing will be happy. I hope there is a heaven and hell so this scumbag can suffer for all he's done.
