Pacman was draining to make 126 and 130 period. He weighed in at WELTER on fight night. So basically him fighting at 140 was him just not having to worry about cutting weight. Mayweather WALKS AROUND about the same as Manny and weighs the same on fight night. Big ass difference. Manny was not that smaller than Hatton in the ring. They looked to be both the same ****ing size. Same as the Diaz fight.

why didn't he clean up the lightweight division? because he had a chance to fight delahoya for his biggest payday ever. why would pac turn down 10-15 million payday ? So he can fight those lightweights for 5 million a fight? :nono

His plan was to fight those lightweights but got a better deal with bigger money against oscar and hatton. I can't blame him for taking that fight. After watching pac destroyed delahoya and hatton do you really wanna see pac fight those lightweights?:-(

4 years if we count the retirement. :rofl

Anyway, Mayweather has had four fights at Welterweight only and didn't start his career there. What was he crowned after the first three fights?, #1 Welterweight officially, not bad if you ask me. Also I would like you to tell us of the better Welterweights available in 2006 to fight.

Speaking of the Marquez fight, it's not a Welterweight fight, it's a catchweight. What is so confusing to realise there and why do people constantly deny it?

Tell that to the people who insult Mayweather for ditching the unknown Margarito and moving to 154 to fight DLH. It's okay for Pacquiao to do it but when Mayweather does he's a coward.

At least Pac's situation was worse since he had Marquez to look into, Mayweather had Margarito and Kermit Cintron. :rofl

Agreed completely. Manny ought to fight himself at 147. I like Pacquiao by KO.

Pac just beat marquez at his last fight at super featherweight and announce it before the fight that it was his last fight at 130 lbs so i wouldn't call that situation worst.

See mayweather is criticize mostly for retiring before facing those top welterweights. He fought judah and baldomir who were the best avaialable at the time but when the new challengers came up he decided to retired. Now that his back he aint even talking about facing those top welterweights but instead is picking a fight against a lightweight and a jr welterweights. See that is why he gets criticize:D

Load of crap man and you know it.

Didn't Mayweather publicly say recently that his next fight is either Pacquiao or Mosley?, didn't he make it clear that he has signed to have FIVE fights?

Last I checked Mosley is the current #1 Welterweight, correct?

Mayweather didn't retire when those guys were "ready". If I remember Margarito was coming off a loss, Mosley was coming off a loss and only two were worth mentioning, Cotto and Williams. Did you forget how Cotto all of a sudden announced he's ready for Mayweather AFTER Mayweather announced his retirement?

What's this nonsense about Floyd bein at 147 for YEARS? He fought 4 fights there, people act like he started at the weight. 2 of his fights there he picked up 2 titles(WBC&IBF).

Muhammad Ali is the biggest cherry picker of ALL times!

    Some fighters he ducked:

    Tyson
    Lewis
    Holyfield
    W.Klitschko
    V.Klitschko
    Margarito
    Chavez Sr. and Jr.

Coming off of a loss didn't stop him with Judah.

i did say 2 years and "almost" 4 years if we count the retirement since he did came back to fight jmm at a catchweight. it will be counted more as a WW than a LWW fight. now compare that to the 11 months that pac has fought above 130?

i'm not even here to diss floyd's opposition during that time since floyd have fought the best possible opponent available to him that time. but when a floyd fan is starting to cmpare on pac's opponent above 130 because floyd failed to do what people expected of him. some don't even want him to unify. just fight anyone of the top 147 now and it would be fine.

Sure didn't and that has its reasons too if you were around to see it or just playing delusional to troll around.

That fight was planned to be replaced with either Margarito or Baldomir. Baldomir turned it down claiming he wants more money and wants one fight before taking that one, Margarito didn't want to cancel his PPV extravaganza against Manuel "Unranked" Gomez.

So according to none other than BOB ARUM they went on with that fight anyway as they already advertised it but didn't expect Judah to fall short against his mandatory and tune up.

Feel free to respond more, educating newbies here is becoming a hobbie. If only they're greatful.
