Big part of it, he didn't expect a Pac-man tornado threatening to completely overshadow his legacy. No time for ****ing around now, he needs to beat them all.

Money too of course, but Floyd ego is a fragile thing and it has been assaulted more more frequently over the last few years.

i just think he has more options for big fights now, where he is not in a lot of danger of losing, than he did when he went into pretend retirement. now he has believable excuses for avoiding the obvious dangers. i dont think floyd is afraid of geting beat but i think he fears what geting beat means to his actual standing as a great boxer. like most members of his popular culture, he would prefer to look good than to be good. i really believe his emotional growth was stunted around the start of his teen years. his attitude reminds me of a boy desperately trying to fit into a character he is not really comfortable being.

Floyd fights for cheques not bragging rights, as he said so. But he still thinks he's the greatest fighter ever to lace up. It's eating away at his monster ego that pacman is going to steal his limelight and that's a big part of the reason he came back. That's also why he's fighting JMM. He wants to nail the guy who pushed Pac the hardest

Floyd retired because he was afraid of Margarito. Now that Margo has been banned from boxing, Floyd has returned. Floyd is very smart: he knows who he can beat, and who can beat him. He sees Pacman and Marquez as easy wins, just because of styles and size. Margarito would have destroyed Floyd.

    You really think that?!
I'm not a Mayweather fan at the moment but he would of out-boxed Margarcheato to UD.
Plus Margarcheato was beat by Paul Williams 6 months before he fought Hatton, so why would he have any fear of him?! :patsch :rofl
