Who will he fight next?? I would like to see him fight Andrade and the winner get a fight with the winner of Froch-Bute if this fights would happen.
I have no idea what's up with Sakio. I don't know if he's in a position to get a spot as somebody's mandatory challenger or what, but if he's not, that's the route he should go if he wants a title shot because it looks like he's in danger of becoming somewhat of an afterthought with an unfavorable risk/reward. Matches are getting made in that division, and he's been like a ghost for the past 7 months. Andrade-Bika would be a brutal fight. Here's another 2 I'd like to see at some point in time: Bika-Dawson and Bika-Taylor.
It would take quite a bit of quality work from even the best of promoters to get Bika a decent fight. He's very much in the Paul Williams mold of fighters who are huge risks and low rewards, but he doesn't have a network (HBO) constantly touting how avoided he is like Williams does.
You know how he bitches about any world class British fighter he ain't got. Right now he don't have many. Come to think of it, I wouldn't be surprised if Warren got hold of Kessler?
He's rumoured to be headlining a card in Melbourne, Australia on July 16 - don't know who the opponent might be.
He is calling out everyone..and not getting much a reply. I think he just needs to fight...needs to push the issue a little more. I think ideally he wants to cash out against Mundine...but Choc wont be touching him with a 10 foot poll.
Unfortunately, he's stuck with Jeff Wald for a few more fights, and Wald has proven that he's not particularly great at making good fights. He's gotten the Contender fighters into some high profile mismatches, but for the most part he just has the contender fighters fight each other. Last I heard, Bika was a sparring partner for Daniel Geale. I'd love it if Showtime stepped up to the plate and forced one of the Andres to take on Bika as a step-up fight.
