i was thinking if Cotto does beat clotty on 06/13/09 and doesn't get the Pac fight. this fight could come up. am i the only one who see this as this generations Chavez vs taylor fight?

with Cotto being the stalking ppuncher who wears down his opponets with an excellent body and head attack and berto having the speed advatage yet tends to trade when he doesn't have to? not comparring the fighter in class just the style of them.

Also who do you have winning this fight if it comes off?

Poll will be mutiple choice for both questions.

    Don't bother...

The Cotto ***s will be all over this one.

It might be a vote of about 90-1

Berto is nowhere near Cotto's league. He'd get ****ed up royally.

first off, I am a berto fan. BUT he lacks focus. He doesn't have that killer instinct. He fights down to his opponents level. Doing that against elite fighters is asking for trouble. Cotto can and will catch him multiple times if this fight goes down. Berto needs to get his head 100% into the fight to have a chance... And even then, I would bet on a mental lapse against Cotto

Berto's not ready for such a challenge. He needs to face Quintana, Cintron, or Judah first and rematch Collazo before setting his sights for the elite welters.

i think Berto is focused he just has something missing to compete with the elite.

Berto is on Cintron's level. Pretty good fighter but he's not elite. He's missing that special something that distinguishes the good fighters from the top echelon fighters.

Berto is lacking that killer instinct that I was talking about. Think Jermaine Taylor but on a smaller scale. JT blatantly doesn't want to hurt a fly, Berto at least looks like he will **** someone up. Their was no reason why Berto shouldn't have a new KO on his record this past weekend. Maybe he is missing a blood thirsty trainer that demands him to be the best he can be. There is talent in Berto, he just needs the proper team to pull it out.
