Hmm, I watched it and didn't really see it. His wording and emphasis came across as the general consensus, not his opinion. But that's just me.

It would make sense for him to say it, possibly; IF he blasted Vit to pieces, he could compare his win to, and totally eclipse, Lennox' effort.

A reaction from Vitali was exactly what Haye was wanting, he wanted to rile Vitali up to the point of physical altercation. If Haye was scared of him, do you think he would have tried to **** Vitali off? If Haye was scared of him, would Haye have been trying his best to get a fight with him?

You're right, I must have missed it when Vitali took Haye's hat and "would not give it back". The video I saw showed Vitali taking Haye's hat off his head, placing it on his own head and then giving it back to Haye within four seconds of taking it - with Haye not looking bothered at all.

Wlad was in London for that press conference and it was the only time he knew where Wlad was. What was he supposed to do - fly to Ukraine and try and find Wlad when he's out doing his shopping?! Haye was just trying make him hate him to the point where Wlad would agree to fight him, instead of fighting unfit heavyweights who may as well have been journeymen that would just turn up for a paycheck and no expectation or real determination to win - unlike Haye.

For what it's worth, it was a business dinner and not a family dinner where Haye showed the picture to Vitali. Negotiations were ongoing during that get-together between Haye, Adam Booth and Vitali and his people and it was at the end of that where he allegedly showed Vitali the photo.

    P.S. It's Haye, not Hayes.

Haye wants to get wlad wound up and out of his comfort zone.

Wlad is the most risk averse fighter in the division (took him three rounds to throw a right hand VS Ibragimov, asked Vitali to fight haye first)
Wlad also fights like a robot and
is scared of getting hit because he know he has a weak chin just like haye.

Haye's advantages are his reflexes and his power which require him to get close to wladimir to unleash his bombs.

Wlad's advantages are his height and reach which he will use to keep haye at bay with his ram rod jab.

Haye wants to get wlad angry so that he will come and trade with haye on the inside therefore negating wlad's advantages and increasing his own chance of sucess.

I guess we now know what he was planning... :think

I've thought about that. I can't believe that it's true, but in a twisted way causing Wlad extra trouble (money being a big one) would certainly do the trick.
