I think Khan is overlooking Kotelnik. He gave Junior Witter fits - he brings much more to the table than Khan does.... awkwardness, power and a good chin. This Glass Jaw BS is getting out of hand though!
Calzaghe got slated for not doing enough to go after the big names, but Khan's a twat for chasing the big names? Get a grip, ffs.
I dont think he will be over looking Kotelnik, Khan has been waiting all his life for this moment he would be fool to do so. Anyway Roach will not let him overlook Kotelnik and must be putting Khan though a very hard camp and working on a good gameplan.
Shattered Glass is a disgrace to Eastside Boxing There are so many things wrong with the OP I can't be bothered to point them out. To summarise: STFU NOOB
you should give the guy props for wanting or calling out the best....and start bashing ***s like Sturm and Kessler who have done jack **** and fight garbage fights
agreed, i think khan win pretty easily, if he keeps his head and doesnt lunge in like the old khan, he could we'll outbox kotelnik, he def has speed advantage, and i reckon there power will be similar, i know khan has a lot worse chin, but i reckon it will be kotelnik who will be the one taking a lot more shots, khan just has to feel him out and keep composed
He may be able to improve his jaw...specially with all the hard sparring he's doing. If he can improve his defensive skills and get a half decent jaw then I think he takes Hatton.
I think Haye took a glancing blow to the temple... and according to the commentator slipped on the ring mat, put his hands on the ropes to try and stay up but though, 'not worth it' and just took a knee. He was probably hurt though, he is very vulnerable to the temples. He did however take some good overhand rights to the jaw and seemed fine so I'm not convinced one way or the other about Haye's actual chin just yet. lol, Haye was not KTFO by Carl Thompson... It was his 10th (I think...?) pro fight and Carl Thompson, although past it, is OLD SCHOOL AS ****. And let me tell you, Thompson can take a BEATING. Which he duly did until Haye gassed himself and Thomson landed a few. Booth threw the towel in IMMEDIATELY as there was no sense in risking Haye's career. Live to fight another day. Haye hasn't done **** all in the heavyweight division I know. Barrett and Bonin are nothing but gatekeepers but he blew them out in less than 6 rounds total so credit where it's due. Noone has been this excited about a HW contest in ages so I think it's great that Wlad and Haye are getting it on. I know Froch is limited... but he's great, I love watching Froch :good He's a real talker too. Honestly, if you think Kahn has a chance to be special you are deluded. The guy boxes like a novice. He has no inside game, his combinations are pre planned and not reactionary, his chin is probably the worst of all time, his defense consists of holding his gloves directly over his chin and then backing away 10 metres, he has no real stopping power to his punches and let me make the point again: his chin is garbage. A special fighter is someone like DLH was, or Mayweather was, or Leonard. Think were they were 22 fights in. DLH WAS a title holder after 11. They all have good/great inside game, a certain toughness, intangibles you can't measure... Khan has NOTHING on ANY previous 'special' fighter. He is an posing amatuer that will be exposed again soon. It's ridiculous to say he has the chance to be something special when fighters like Ortiz are around that would literally EXECUTE Kahn. Don't even get me started on Mayweather, Marquez, Pac etc. I don't actually mind Khan too much but I don't want to see a murder.
Khan is a great example for many to follow, he has had more critics out to put him down recently more than any other fighter I know of yet he's never to give in and I think he will keep proving them wrong for a while.
Don't see why anyone would hate here, at least he's bringing excitement. Yeah I know he should rematch Prescott and get things sorted there but at least they're moving on in hope of bringing better wins. So far I wouldn't brag about a single his on his record, especially not the Barrera circus show they put which was an obvious desperate attempt to put him on the spotlight. Warren's just doing his job and sneaking out of that Prescott loss by building reputation through other fights. Don't expect him to be in a really dangerous fight anytime soon for obvious reasons. If this guy goes does Warren have anyone worth promoting in his stable?, he doesn't have enough and this guy is clearly the biggest name so expect overpotection for a while.
