Pac can't seem to catch Void because Void is running too fast.

I believe that he will fight an easier opponent excluding all of the above.

Understood, but as far as PBF, it is a long road and a catch weight, money, venue, who is going to come in first, I can bring my cat if you bring your cat will all be in the toughest negotiations of all time.

Berto also mentioned in the past that he would go down to 140. Roach is not God all mighty and anything can happen as far as PBF goes. The people are going to demand this fight above all other fights.

Another thing, to fight a dried up Oscar at 147 and then to go back down to fight at 140. That was very marketable to fight a non-welterweight with a great name.

Roach is not God Almighty but he seems to be closest to Pacquiao in terms of human contact and usually his predictions and thoughts regarding future Pacquiao fights are very accurate, the DLH fight is the best example as no one saw that coming.

All we could do is take his word for now and wait till Mayweather/Marquez is over, all comments now mean nothing till that one is over with.

The Hatton fight was a good prediction, and I guess Oscar too due to Roach knowing how dehydrated Oscar was going to come in. I mean, Roach even said that he saw the IV marks on his arms. Who looks for that unless he bet his house that Oscar was going to come in looking like a Zombie. Well, that is another thread. We will wait to see, but don't you think it is a gamble waiting to see who wins and then making a decision and date for the next fight?

Mosley is the most likely opponent.

No it's not a gamble at all in my opinion, it's the best/smart decision. Pac has been in two MAJOR fights recently regardless of how quick he won them or how easy he made it look the training camps you go through for major fights take a lot out of a fighter. A break as they said till that fight is over is only reasonable and logical, keeps fans on their toes and focusing on what's coming up. They gave us an idea on what they plan for at least, it's just blurry till some fights are over with(Cotto/Clottey, Mayweather/Marquez).

I thought Arum said at this point he's waiting for the Cotto fight.Like it or not if Cotto pulls it off against Clottey there's your fight and it will be at a catch weight of 42-43.

Arum is talking out of his ass. He's putting words in Mayweather's mouth to move on and allow guys in his stable to mix it up to keep things "safe", he's running a business after all and that is to be expected. All depends on how Mayweather fires back after the Marquez fight if he's victorious there or not as we know Arum is throwing in comments at this time knowing Mayweather won't bother to focus on them as he can't afford to overlook Marquez.

People should see through this EASILY especially if guys here know at least some of Arum's antics.

Of course he wants to keep the money in house and with his two biggest stars in Cotto and Pac he can't lose.
But in reality right now they have the fight planned for Oct18 which will be too soon for the winner of Floyd Marquez.
At first I didn't wanna see Pac May but if May pulls it off and then somehow Pac can get past Cotto I would love to see it and a win over Cotto would make this even bigger.
But they both will have guys in front of them who won't easily let the plans unfold.
Arum is a businessman so he's talkin **** but in the end they'll both have to settle at 50/50.
