Wlad was severely rocked by a Brewster jab in their first fight. Go on youtube and watch it, it happend in round 3. Well before Wlad had that panic attack in round 5. If you watch the fight, you will hear RJJ make fun of Wlad's chin the whole night. At one point saying his chin wouldn't hold up in the ring against him.

    The facts are these.

If Wlad wins, not much changes. The division remains stagnant.

If Haye wins, the division is given a huge shakeup, and a few potential HW superfights appear on the horizon.

You cant really argue with that, and it is simply better for the division and the sport if Haye wins. Wlad has had time at the top, he has not set the division on fire, he has not broadened its, or his, appeal. He has been boring, and has reached a plateau. He will not unify any more, and he is simply fulfilling mandatories against godawful opposition. This division needs a shakeup, you cant deny that.

The difference being, that in that space of time Haye became undisputed champion in 21 fights.

Wlad has a very weak resume as well, and has had almost three times as many fight and only managed to pick up a few paper titles.

You cant really criticise Haye's resume. He has had a very limited number of fights and he cleaned out his division in that space of time, and KO'd the undisputed champion and a titlist. There is genuinely nobody else he could have fought at CW except Cunningham, who was a waste of time anyway.

It wasn't a jab, it was a power left straight. Ask anyone who's boxed how it's done. Brewster's execution was nearly perfect. Watch him dodge a jab from Wlad, duck, make a step forward with his left foot and then leap up a little with a straight left shot. It was a powerpunch. And BTW Wlad wasn't rocked to the slightest, just a little surprised ;)

Power straight left? He's not a southpaw, and he never hurt anyone with that punch aside from Wlad. I been watching Brewster since 2000 when he fought Eitenne in Pittsburgh on the Spadafora undercard.

Brewster did hurt Wlad, his legs buckled from under him. Ledderman even gave Brewster that round on his scorecard becuase of hurt Brewster had him. I watched that fight at least 20 times since it happend live in April of 04.

No wonder, it's a rare punch for orthodox fighters. However it does exist, a leaping power straight left.

There was a Russian amateur back int he 70's, I forgot his name, he was famous for that punch and he was orthodox.
