Ruiz is exhibit A of how the power and influence of some promoters has corrupted the sport. Without his connections to King, he would never have gotten all these title shots, and would have been disqualified in most of his fights against anybody above the journeyman level.

Even now, since King has dumped him, he uses bogus legal maneuvering to get MORE undeserved title shots. Boxing should be about the BEST man winning. That's not Ruiz. He cheats his opponents and the fans.
