Spare me the facts, you probably don't fight. Do not judge fighters by pedigree or records. Audley Harrison, gold medalist, enough said. Young? FAST? Scott Belshaw couldn't throw a punch, Ellis takes a knee during a strong wind. Look deeper, for instance, knockouts? He's ****ing huge, all enormous heavyweight have good KO records against guys like Matthew Ellis. Can you also believe respected Irish promoters and fighters said Scott Belshaw was an amazing prospect?

    Jesus, open your eyes.

Shut the **** up, shamed! please

He is NOT THAT GOOD. Maccarinelli was an amazing prospect a while ago. Richard Williams, Darren Bruce, Ricky Ecleston. VERY FEW British "prospects" make it. Why? Because you hype every single fighter who can throw a punch to rediculous levels. Mark these words, Tyson Fury will never make it. **** this **** where every time someone gives an honest opinion about obviously over-hyped fighters are dubbed "haters" and grumpy ****s and assholes who always wish the worst for boxers. Fury winces when a punch is thrown at him, actually closes his eyes, screws up his face and jerks. Not a good sign

I have my favourites, I support true prospects and fighters, but not giant monster movie types like Fury. If he was half a foot smaller, he would be nothing special.

"Hater"? :yep Cry me a river.

Boxing is a rough sport, a timeless art, Tyson Fury does not have the skills to make it on the big stage, if there are any decent heavyweights at the top of the ladder IF he makes it that far, he will get crushed. But he won't make it that far.

Long story short, he is not that good, not that good at all.

i dont think anyone is meaning to be racist. they are moaning about 'travellers' as apposed to romany gypys. travellers arent a different race they are just different in the sense that steal and dont pay taxes. hating thieving layabouts seems fairly rational to me. i think Fury might encompass both types but no one is hating on him due to his romany gypsy heritage and so they shouldnt.

    Isn't he 6 foot 8 or 9?

It is good to see a hyped and cocky prospect coming up, but I don't see him as getting too awfully far once he gets in with world class contenders..................Unless he improves and somehow manages to up his game quite a bit.......but given that he's only 20, that's entirely possible.

    Actually, his parents named him.

Luke Tyson Fury, to be exact.

    No worries.

My point is, he did not name himself, and it is hardly unknown to go by a middle name.

No one decries Jersey Joe Walcott chaning his name to honor the original. Going by a middel name is not so very bad.

He is big , young , strong but untested.. The jury is yet out on him so i reserve my opinion truly, he does show flashes of talent at times for a man of his dimensions, but my gut judgement is that he may be a decent british and european class heavy at best but will be like a white Julius Francis, good solid pro who causes a few stirs in his career but wont even step to world level. I just heard he has dropped his longtime trainer and uncle because he thinks he needs a better class advisor to further his career, we will soon see if its for the better.. I hope he does improve and become something , boxing needs it. he is confident in abundance and just needs to tame it a bit.. Cocky can hurt your marketability sometimes..

If he steps up fast and is beaten by a respected name ... then this talk will get a pass.

If he's beaten by a lower ranked fighter ... the talk he's doing now will come back to haunt him.

The worse thing he could do is talk this talk and then pad his record with easybeats for 3 years. I don't think he's going to take that path tho.

He is 6 feet 9 inches tall, only 20 years old, very fast hands, lots of natural talent and power, but he has only been fighting pro for less than a year. He is rising very quickly though. He has lots of potential.

Notice, that all the Haye lovers love Haye when Haye has diarrhea of the mouth, but they hate Fury. Gee.........wonder why?
