I have to agree with Rico on this one. The term is obsolete. I'm not gonna say anyone using it is an idiot but there really is no place for the term. It was originated under horribly racists and oppressive reasoning, it was meant to be biggoted and offensive. No reason we should perpetuate it.
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl I could explain to you why this is Bull ****, but it really is not important
"Great White Hope" term is not obsolete, it is just in hibernation cause of the Klitschko Bros.. They held the title for 5 years now, bettween the two, they have been a force in the division sence 2000,,an people are now Hyping every black heavy that comes along........I think were in the "Great Black Hope" era, so once the brothers leave, either lose or retire, if a black comes along an dominates, i think that term (GWH)will be back,,,But the brothers have TKO'd it for now, IMO
Ya know I wonder, if Anthony Mundine is the black super man, could a black fighter with some white ancestry thrown in somewhere be considered "The Great White Hype"? I'd love to see Lennox Lewis and Bob Papa trying to explain it.
Take the eastern euro now, they are becoming more dominate in boxing. Why, cause they built the infrustructer to build white boxers, america you just don't have it, so of course they look like ****,,,Hell everybody was on palviks bandwagon, but i thought he was white hype from the get go, also hatton, even know he is english, the boxing world in america is designed for two groups, blacks an hispanics, an everybody else is just a sparring partner,,,,europe, it is designed for white europeans for the most part, an that is why whites can develop an become champs there,,,,,,I believe in maybe 10 years, there is going to be a **** load of euro fighters, If promoters had any brains in amerca they would already be using them on there cards, i think it would bring in more fans.
So says a guy who calls himself "Bad Intentions". Jermain " Bad Intentions" Taylor rountinely gets knocked out brutally by white guys.
