Don't know who's ducked who in the past, but truthfully, Floyd doesn't fight top fighters in his division, the WW division. Not saying he couldn't beat them all, but he doesn't fight them. He fights smaller fighters or way-over the hill fighters.

Floyd is pissing his pants at the thought of fighting Shane. When he called Shane out before he was pinning his hopes on Shane killing himself to make 147 from just fighting at 154lbs. Floyd is a coward and he proves it everytime he comes out with lame excuses to not want to entertain a fight with Mosley. Mayweather is see through like glass. ****ing transparent. Only his dumbass fanboys believe the bull**** that comes out his mouth. He is a coward. The truth is the truth, he has not done what he has supposed to to earn true respect from the people. His act is just a smoke screen to cover up his insecurities and he avoids any kind of real challenge all the time.

 

Margarito gave Mayweather serious pause, to the point of avoidance.

Shane stepped up to the plate and KO'd the man.

That was a much better win than Floyd's last win, probably better than any win Floyd has.


So, from a legacy point of view, Floyd needs to fight Shane more than he needs JMM or PAc, who, despite both being superior boxers, wouldn't have much chance against Marg.

For the record, I called for Floyd to face Marg years ago, and predicted that he would beat him, almost as bad as he beat Baldo.

Mayweather , though more talented than Calzaghe, will suffer from the same rap.

Namely, he won't have a lot of great wins on his resume when he retires, despite being more than capable of achieving these victories.

The difference, IMO, is, the great fights are there for Floyd AND he's doing little or nothing to make them happen.

(Marg, Cotto, Mosley, Williams etc.)
