Yeah, Vic's left is a killer too... but it's also the reason why he left himself so open to the counter left hook from donaire.

Definitely, Pacquiao's left straight left hand is one of the most dangerous weapon in the sport.

just watch the morales 3 fight...he is offering his chin, defense wide open, just to connect his left hand the best possible way with proper distance...good thing for him, he always manages to land his punches because of morales poor reflexes that time...

because it is so fast...his opponents didn't even see the moment of pac's shoulder before he lands his left...they have no clue on when it would come

Probably. I don't have enough off the top of my head to make a definitive statement in either direction.

That's a good idea actually. Cause I for one don't go back with the sport far enough to offer another reference whom I feel has a better SL. :good

I don't know. Not enough knowledge about other era's to say for certain. It is obviously one of the most destructive straight-lefts of all time, so I imagine one of the best of all time overall.

It's a great straight left. Pac can get in on a fighter's defenses as fast as anyone.

But why is every question "best ever" this and "greatest" that? He's a great fighter. Isn't that good enough?

He's a great fighter but thats not the point of this question. This question is about that one specific punch compared to other great southpaws throughout history.
