I was having a discussion with ant maxx he said after clottey he wants cotto vs pw i said it would make more sense to do a ppv of berto vs cotto for berto's belt.... berto vs cotto would be an easy fight for cotto, the fight berto wants, and easy fight to make & sell if that happens shane and pw can face off while pacman - floyd - jmm settle their **** and leave great options down the line since shane refuses to fight berto its kind of out of the equation
from that list i'm down with Cotto vs Mosley. But what i would really like is PBF vs Berto as a tuneup with the winner facing the winner of Cotto/Clottey, and also Pac vs Mosley . And then a mega-unification of all 4 titles. With the winner of Pac/Mosley fighting the winner of PBF/Berto/Clottey/Cotto
berto said that him and floyd are really cool and it probably woudlnt happen... he was talking about it in some youtube interview
I wouldn't mind that scenario. I would like Shane to get the Pacquiao fight. He's the most deserving. Winner fights winner of Floyd/Marquez.
they were scheduled to fight but it broke down.... shane has said on record many times he doesnt want to fight berto because berto reminds shane of himself at a young age and amaxx was saying the same thing about berto not being ppv material... but it would be a perfect way to get cotto back into the mix... and stylstically and personality wise it would be an easy fight to sell
yep thats good too and then maybe Cotto could earn a shot by challenging someone like PW. However from Pac's perspective i think out of PBF / Shane / JMM / Cotto, Cotto is the easiest fight. Not cause he got knocked out by Margarito, but cause his right hand is non-existant and his chin can be kind of shaky. Also his defense is the worst of those 4
Why should Shane fight Berto? That's not adding to his legacy. The only fights for Shane are Pacquiao, Cotto, or Floyd.
That's probably true even though I'd really like to see Mosley/Pac. That would be a great fight to watch.
I think Shane should get one of those fights before fighting Paul. Not that I wouldn't like to see it. If Clottey were to beat Cotto, Clottey/Williams should happen.
