Marquez will be small at 140, too heavy at l47. He's a lightweight, I don't think he'll have the speed and power to fight at welterweight. You call that law of diminishing returns.

Marquez cannot do a Pacquiao. He's just too small and only a lightweight that Floyd will spank all night. Paquiao is a freak of nature.

He's only seems to get better with age. You have your head so far up Pacquiao's ass you should never comment on anything regarding JMM, because you have no idea what you're talking about!

JMM should aim to weigh practically the same at the weigh in and on fight night which will be in 143-145 range. I hope his speed isnt affected too much. If it isnt this is going to be more competitive than many think.

If Floyd does not wait for Marquez to mix up, and tires him in the early rounds, Marquez is set up for a knock out in 7th round.

i hope jmm pulls it off. but two things that people should consider,

he is going up in weight. he himself and nacho said that he is comfortable fighting at 130 or 135 if you want to stretch it. but additional weight always ends up to loss in speed, especially for smaller fighters.

also, jmm is turning 36 on august. so realistically he is 36 already. does this not give people an idea on the risk that jmm is taking.

fighters can grow old overnight. we have seen glimpses of this in his fight with baby bull. father time will catch up with him and probably soon.

no fighter has escaped father time. neither foreman and neither will jmm.

Marquez's optimum weight is at l35. Higher than that, he'll sacrifice his power and speed. Against a natural welterweight, Marquez is taking too much he can chew.
