Mundine was infront in power punches and punches landed.....Na just kidding Ray is doing the punch stats on his computer and we should know mid next week....so Iam sure Ray will let everybody know the results :good
At the end of it, Mundine needs to give the people the shits..... just to keep us viewing. On a world scale, he's a pretender. The only ppv crowds are here for him. All the promises, deals, speculation and expectancies have fallen flat on their faces. I wonder how he'll go in attempting to gain a bout in the USA. The yanks will take one look at Khoder and slam the door shut. Any clever opponent, if a fight eventuates there, will drag up the pathetic 'post 9/11' diatribe that spewed from Mundines mouth. Then they'll take another look at the Arab standing beside him... Door slams again. Are the yanks racist??? Yes. SIMPLE. Am I racist??? No, I hate everyone equally!!
Three time world titlist is more accurate, world champion suggests that he was the best in the world at three different periods in time which he has never been once. Out of those wins, Bargero was impressive at the time considering the difference in experience. Soliman won the first fight, I don't care what anyone says and the same can be said about Geale IMO. The two wins in the rematches over Soliman are among Mundines best wins as is the Echols one which you left out (even though Echols was never that good) as well as the obvious win over Green. I also give Mundine credit for the Thornberry win as Thornberry was a good fighter in this country when they fought and he came to fight. As for the others, Waters was years past his best and never had the super middleweight frame, he had to kill himself to boil down to that weight as he fought as a cruiserweight or light heavyweight for most of his career. Don't even mention Lester Ellis, the thought of that freakshow makes me sick. Hamdan and Taylor were both naturally smaller then Mundine and way past their best. Mundine's had a good pro career, but as far as being one of the greatest this country has seen or what not, nah, not a chance. His record doesn't compare to the likes of Darcy, Fenech, Tszyu or Rose, let alone Richards, Thompson or his old man.
What's the bet Mundine will find some journeyman at middleweight from a south east Asian country or Japan ranked 150th in the world and begin the whole merry go round spin of preparing for a big showdown with AA , Pavlik , Wright or Sturm.. The saga continues.. It's just a merry go round game that Mundine is playing with the aussie public. It's a never ending cycle.
I'm interested to know which rounds people scored for Mundine. If one of you could please enlighten me.....
I haven't got the Soliman fight handy (its on VHS somewhere in 'the pile'), but the Geale fight is on youtube so I could have a squiz. Which rounds did you score for Mundine, I'm dying to know what rounds people gave him.
Yeah.... which ones. You can't go and call out my scoring and then not back it up. My scorecard's right here: http://angryfightfan.wordpress.com/2009/06/02/geale-was-robbed/ Where am I wrong?
