Hatton as you said has a style that negates his speed. Plod forward head down arms flailing doesn't do much for your speed.

And let's not forget Zab was holding his own for a while against Floyd partially because? He was beating him to the punch.

 

zab and pacman have very few similarities between one another.... especially between one another styles & techniques

 

My point was that Zab is the fastest opponent Floyd has taken on in ages. He was able to land because he got there first, partially due to his speed.

If you go from fighting snails and blown up LWWs and LWs to fighting an opponent whose sleek of feet and has quick hands to match, well...there could be a potential system shock.

 

the first 3-4 rounds of the zab fight were due to what zab was doing stylistically and what floyd WASNT doing stylistically ....it wasnt the speed thing... obviously the speed made a difference but zab had a great plan originally and floyd took away zab's option and after that zab got totally discouraged

 

Pac has Zab's speed, has Zab's power, has Zab's southpaw stance... but is better in every other way. Better chin, more heart, better stamina, better everything else. Be warned!

My argument (which you seem to be fighting for the sake of fighting) is that Floyd hasn't fought anyone as fast as Manny in a long time and the last guy he DID fight had some success against him partially because he was able to match him speed wise. As per a great game plan, won't Manny have one as well?

Basically t's one thing to go from driving a moped to racing in the Indy 500. It's entirely possible that Floyd could have a small system shock if he goes from a turtle to a gazelle.

Yes, there are. But the basic point has validity - Zab used a combination of southpaw unorthodoxy and raw speed to initially trouble Floyd. Pac has those attributes, and a whole lot more. If anything, it signifies Pac will give Floyd a closer and more perilous night than Zab did.

I hear ya...but you can only spar for something so much before you deal with the real thing. That's why JMM is a weird opponent to come back straight from. He's nothing stylistically like Pac, doesn't have the speed factor Floyd needs to fight amongst other things.
