Of course, some people fail to realize that unlike Valero or Floyd, Pac didn't have the luxury of having an amateur career. He jumped straight to pro boxing, he practically had to get on the job training. I'm surprised he only got 2 losses considering that.

It's certainly up there among the best for it's combination of speed and power.

Galaxy has far superior power with his and basically made a career out it as his only weapon, but doesn't have anwhere near Pac's speed.

marvin Johnson's was brutal.

Whitaker and Kalule for sheer accuracy and as a pointscorer are better, but neither have real power behind the punch.

Hagler and Watanabe as complete boxer-punchers were more educated with it, but the Hook was Marv's real damaging punch.Watanabe didn't hit quite as hard as Pac with it either.Gushiken in this category as well.

Saldivar had brutal thudding power with his and threw it perfectly, almost unavoidable at times.

Hirouyuki Ebihara as well.Pac fights quite similarly to him nowadays, but he's never laid a fighter the level of Kingpetch out with just one bomb from it.

Just a few names that could be argued with either way.Come to think of it, a lot of the greatest asian fighters had great straight lefts.

My apologies to the TS.:-(
i gave my reasons why i think PAC's left is the greatest, effectivity/power in multiple division
Nallege will surely give his reasons why it isnt, as sson as Uncle jeff is done with his other thread
If Edwin was a lefty, it will surely be his right hand being best the left hand that boxing ever saw.:happy

Pac had no amateur career and that's why he lost those two fights, and he was green when he lost to Morales. What can you tell me about his two draws? WWW.google.com

Miller and Tendler are the only two guys I named who I have not seen a lot of footage on. But, I have seen footage of them, just not against their best comp. Historians rank them as two of the best southpaws anyway.

what the hell do his draws against sanchez and marquez have to do with anything? you were making a big deal about his 2 losses early in his career, I just pointed out that those losses don't really mean much considering he was as green as they could come added to the fact that he had weight problems for both fights.

You're not gonna say that Pac not having a proper amateur career is irrelevant are you?

Full props to Morales though on the 1st fight though, that was an amazing performance from el terrible.
