Haye admitted fears about referee only hours before injury

    Only hours before announcing his injury, David Haye admitted that he was worried about the referee for his upcoming fight with Vlad. He also demanded that a "neutral" referee be selected.

    It sounds like Haye was becoming increasingly edgy in the past few days. That is always a sign of mental stress for a fighter before a big fight.

    It is odd that Haye's injury occured only hours after he publicly expressed fear about the referee.

    good lord...i don't mind haye's talk but these british boxing pundits are beyond biased. it has to be blind nationalism. they talk if wlad is some bum from a tough man competition. this guy has been a pro 10+ years and fought in 15 world title fights. if u don't like his style, then ok but don't be a blind twat. u expect it from fans on forums but professionals who do it are disgraceful

    i remember that idiot Glenn McCrory had an article titled, "Wlad the Imposter". What does that make Haye now?

    I hope they do it to cater to their audience as much as possible cause no human being can be this blind or stupid?

    Come on guys.

    The ref a very important matter in a fight. Even though Haye claimed that Wladimir would be one of his easiest fights, so it shouldnt of mattered.

    After hearing that bull**** about the ref I'm inclined to believe you. At first I gave Haye the benefit of the doubt but it sorta looks like he was starting to make excuses.
