Patten is not a bad choice...he could have a Brasher-esqe impact on the team, like Tim did in his comeback.

We need an answer to Slater...who is just a ****ing freak of nature..People think the halves are kicking at him but in a lot of cases he just gets to the ball before the camera can even pan to where the ball is landing.

Yeah the Hayne throw inside was waaay forward and shouldnt have been a try. The maroons played ok but they can do so much better.

I thought Campese was out of his depth, Wallace cant attack and the ball wasnt given to Jennings enough to show why he was put in the team.

    3 - 0 :happy

Yeah Campese played well. With a bit more 'origin' experience (there were times where he didn't make the right choice, or his execution wasn't up to scatch), I think he's the best man we have for the number 6 job (including Soward).

    Agree that Wallace was crap.

Soward would get steamrolled when defending. NSW biggest problem in the past has been their failure to persevere with players.

I'm happy for Wallace to continue on. It's a young team, and they need time to gel.

    Teke, whats this 'we' ****?!
You're an All Black hugging, Mosley **** smoking poof from Coffs Harbour.

    Quit being a glory hunter.

NSW's kicking game was woeful last night. I can't see how anyone can complain about Hayne'stry being disallowed. He stepped on the line not once but twice. If it were Darius Boyd running down the line Gus and Snork would've been doing their nut.

Ever gone sprinting in football boots? Pretty hard to simply run on your toes in them. I called it as it happened. You're starting to sound like misery guts Bellamy!

That's right, a bloke like Patten has been playing great footy for 10yrs and can't even get a sniff. I remember a few years ago him and that skinny cunxt from Balmain were vying for the spot..... How did Patten not get a start in front of that pip sqeek

    You mean Hodgson?

I never rated him to tell you the truth...but he was actually quite good. Its just his career was a little stop start because of he was like glassman or something..he had so many broken bones that bloke.

One of the greatest Origin moments was seeing Tallis throw him over the sideline like he was an 8 year old!

That was pretty good...nearly as good as Gordie getting sent off for his little tantrum against Harrigan. :|

He was a good player Tallis...loved to hate him and he is one of my fav off field personalities going around at the moment..He brings a sorta George Foreman vibe to commentary.

Ippy, only a parochial Queenslander would call Sterlo a bias commentator. If anything, he's the opposite.

while my mind was wandering during the 10 hour plane trip home, I got to thinking about Origin, and thought that even as successful as it is, perhaps it came around maybe half a generation too late.

We only got to see guys Beetson in one game, and he basically set the scene. Seeing guys like him, Raudonikus, etc for another 5 of so years, would have been great.

soward is way too weak in defence for origin football mullen would have to come in if i had an outsider it would be wade mckinnon he is a dead set freak on his day and craig wing did himself no harm with his perfomance id put mullen and wing in the halves farrah can rotate with them in the halves also as his lateral attack is good although i dont think wallace and campo kept the pace with him watch the game again and look how poor and slow the delivery was from the halves

Still think Merritt's a much better option than that McManus. How Merritt never even gets a call up for City origin is pretty baffling.

The guy reads the plays well, is a speedster, is more than solid under the high bombs, and is also a very good defender.
