    Pac / MAB fought prime for prime
    MAB / EM fought prime for prime
    EM beat Pac - while Morales was past his prime
    JMM / Pac fought prime for prime
    JMM beat MAB - while MAB was past it
    JMM never fought EM

    I cant help it mate..its how I was raised.

    I was brought up to specifically hate Mexicans and Filipinos...and love Panamanians and Blacks.

    The first four were better, but not by as much as many would think. The current four have the perfect blend of skill and excitement.

    Al Bernstein is, bar none, the best commentator in the sport. But even the greats can be wrong sometimes.

    Who would be the comparisons?

    Hearns = Barrera
    Leonard = Pacquiao
    Hagler = Marquez
    Duran = Morales.

    Duran [Morales] beats Leonard [Pacquiao] in a close by clear decision.
    Leonard [Pacquiao] gets revenge in the rematch with Duran [Morales].
    Leonard [Pacquiao] beats Hearns [Barrera] by late stoppage.
    Hearns [Barrera] has the wood over Duran [Morales] (except the latter was far more competitive).
    Leonard [Pacquiao] scrapes by Hagler [Marquez] in a highly disputable decision.
    Hagler [Marquez] beats Hearns [Barrera].

    Only thing missing is Hagler vs. Duran [Marquez vs. Morales].

    I'd say the 'better' fights go to: 80s, contemporary, 80s, contemporary, contemporary, 80s respectively. Pretty much even!

    Al Bernstein is out of his mind. He just wants to be relevant nowadays. It will be a long time before we get to see a big 4 clash like Leonard, Hearns, Hagler and Duran did. They all fought each other.

    Clearly its not even close. But is easy to get caught off guard in an interview, particularly after a string of great performances from Manny.

    You could also argue that Manny Pacquiao was green in the above contests - especially the first EM fight. You could also argue that Pacquiao beat EM the second and 3rd time because he had actually improved and worked on his weaknesses. That Pacquiao managed to beat the legend that is Barrera in his absolute PRIME when Manny Pacquiao was apparently green also speaks volumes.

    Perhaps Manny Pacquiao is just hitting his prime now. That surely is a headf*ck and lets you know just how good Manny is. People can try and put down his achievements as much as they want the record will still be here for all to see when the haters are 10 foot under.

    I sort of agree.

    Pac-Morales 3 fights
    Pac-Mab 2 fights
    Mab - Morales 3 fights
    Pac - Jmm 2 fights
    Jmm - Mab 1 fight

    And potentially we will get to see Pac-Jmm 3.
