The news yesterday about Pac vs Mosley as done deal is just a press release from the Mosley camp.

MANILA—Boxing’s No. 1 pound-for-pound best fighter Manny Pacquiao was surprised and flattered over the enterprising reports which came out in the media that a fight with “Sugar” Shane Mosley has been forged Wednesday. Apparently, a press release from a group associated with Mosley, the Entertainers and Athletes Group (EAG), came up with the story that Pacquiao agreed to fight the current WBA welterweight champion Mosley on Oct. 17.

“It’s funny that I am the last man to know about this supposed fight. I know everyone wants to fight me and I have said I will fight anyone, including Mosley. But I have not heard from my promoter or have seen any contract or fight detail. So, there is no fight yet,” said Pacquiao.

“I am flattered that even the great “Sugar” Shane Mosley is now going after me by any means. I am not closing the door on any negotiations, though, and I trust my promotional and training team to make the best decision for me,” added Pacquiao, almost a month after knocking out consensus 140-pound champion Ricky Hatton of England in only two roun ds

The biggest fight, Pac-Floyd, is still a big possibility.

Why doesnt Mosley just fight Paul Williams or the winner of Cotto-Clottey?

Cotto hasn't shown any interest in giving Mosley a rematch. And why would he fight Williams when he can make a HELL of alot more $ fighting Pac or Floyd?

He offered Mosley a rematch @ the MSG, but Mosley didn't want to fight there.

bc he cant get the fight. he could at least make 4 mil fighting P-dub. or sit on the sideline and wait for someone to offer him a big pay day.

Nice try, no offer was ever made. All that Mosley said was he wants to fight Cotto but he won't do it at MSG again. How do you change that in your mind to Cotto offered him a fight but was turned down, get it right.

Well, if he shot down the fight early on, then no, there would have been no official offer.

Exactly what I have posted yesterday. No documents have been signed . . . no written offer yet.

    In principles . . . both fighters simply agreed for a negotiation . . . that's all.
