Then we agree Wlad has a ways to go to prove his greatness.

As far as Haye is concerned, the guy might not be all he's cracked up to be at Heavyweight, but when was the last time you seen a fighter create such big waves in a short period of time like this? I know it's been awhile since the heavyweight division got some attention, and for that I thank Haye.

arreola has been training all his life to fight for the title....now he needs more time? Vitali stepped in on a moments notice to fight Lennox Lewis....if the heavyweight title meant anything to his fat ass, he would be in decent enough shape to accept it on 3 weeks notice.... he could go out in his next fight and get knocked out...then there goes his shot..... he is only appealing right now because he is undefeated

Same here, at least he brings entertainment and got many people tuned in for a heavyweight fight. Last time I was waiting for a fight this much was Peter/Klitschko and even that didn't keep me as tuned in and excited as this one.

Hope they resechedule and I hope to see frauds like Valuev wiped off the scene forever and even out of history books unless it's zoo related.

 My thoughts exactly. Peter/Klitschko was the last heavyweight bout I was extremely pumped up for as well. It was also the last time I picked an oppenent over Wlad.

I do think the fight will happen, thats why I'm hopping Wlad gives Haye the 3 weeks needed to recover and the fans get an exciting fight out of the deal.

Some of you guys here that are claiming that Arreola is scared or that he is dumb for not taking a CHAMPIONSHIP fight on short notice are ridiculous.

It doesn't give him time to prepare for it physically or mentally. It doesn't allow time for his team to study Wlad and create a game plan.

Also, they are hyping Arreola right now as the last real American hope. He is undefeated and the promotion and money that could be made a few months down the road could be better.

Arreola just started working with a nutrionist/strength/conditioner coach because he is trying to get in the shape he should be in to compete against the top of the division.

    Smart move on Arreola's team.

haye WAS a breath of fresh air...but all that means **** by pulling out...regardless of his injury...it just looks ****ing BAD on his part....makes him look like an ass hole...alot of money has been lost if this fight doesnt come off 3 weeks after original date.

Totally agree, let's just wait for now. Hopefully they just postpone it like Calzaghe/Jones and not totally off like the Povetkin fight.

There are two fights I would say are 50/50 for Wladimir right now, that's Povetkin and Haye and he nearly fought both if not for their injuries.

if his team were "smart" then he wouldnt be so out of shape every fight hes been in the last 3 years.....i understand what you are saying...but dont you think everytime the guy gets up to run (if he does that at all) hes not thinking about wlad klitschko? you really dont think he hasnt watched and studied a ton of tape on him yet? Yeah hes a decent heavyweight, but who really is elite these days? hes already got the label as fat and lazy...its his job to stay in shape....how do you train for 8-12 weeks and still come in fat as ****? i dont get that part. in a fighters heart of heart i would think he would want to get in there and see what happens....sometimes you dont get a second chance...he could get knocked the **** out in his next fight.....

I might be inclined to agree with you there. Getting yourself into peak shape for a boxing match takes serious dedication and discipline. Discipline which Arreola doesn't appear to have. Dissapointing to say the least. :verysad

**** happens, fighters are some of the hardests trained athletes in the worlds. For those 6 weeks you push your body to the limit, and anytime you do that an injury is very possible. Give Haye a break, he still wants to fight Wlad.

Very good point. I haven't always been much of fan of the Klits, at least not Wlad, but one thing you can't hold against them is the fact that they consistently come into fights mean and lean, and ready to fight... and that's one of the main reasons they're at the top of the division right now, because they work hard in the gym and make the most out of their ability.

He's been knocking guys out for the last 3 years. No I don't think that he should be thinking about W. klit when he is running if he is training to fight someone else. Why would he distract himself. No I really don't think that he studied a ton of tape of W. Klit yet. Why would they when he is not the opponent of his yet. I'm sure they have seen most of his fights but not necessarily studied to develop a strategy.

This is the heavyweight division and a lot of these guys don't have the physique of the lower weight class guys. Do I agree with you that he should be in better shape, yes. I think he does also and that is why he is bringing in a specialist to help him train.

I don't think that the "get there and see what happens" strategy works for boxers although some of us behind our PC monitors would like to see what happens.

As you already know, I'm a huge Wlad hater. Though saying Povetkin and Haye have a 50% chance of beating Wlad is a little too high IMO. I give Povetkin maybe 25% chance of beating Wlad on workrate alone, but if you remember Chambers was giving it to him the first half of the fight and catching him with clean shots, if Wlad is able to do that Povetkin wont be standing upright for long.

I give Haye a 30% chance of beating Wlad, he got the speed and power to hurt Wlad, but can he afford to stand in there and take what Wlad has to offer? Besides, if Haye tries to fight at a distance the Klitschko jab will eat him up and by the mid rounds Wlad will be comfortable to start letting the right hand go. So he must be aggressive and get on the inside, where Wlad does nothing but clinch, if he wants any chance of winning.
