So we have multiple belt holders according to the WBA. This is not in the sense of super, regular, and interim, but there is apparently another title known as champion in recess. We all know that Ruslan Chagaev defeated Nikolai Valuev for the WBA championship nearly two years ago by majority decision. Since then, he has fought only a couple of times and on three separate occasions, has postponed or backed out of rematches with Valuev. These were all due to injury or sickness. In any event, we still have Valuev and Chagaev dueling out their legitimate claim to the title. So who do we really recognize as the champ? We have Valuev who is challenging the man who beat him but Chagaev, for all intensive purposes, is unable or unwilling to give his rival a shot. Vote and comment.
Who cares? Both these frauds could retire and noone would give a ****! All that matters are the Klits and Haye.
Chagaev. Valuev shouldn't even be considered a champion at all, he lost to Ruiz twice, Holyfield, Donald and Chagaev.
Listen, there is no such thing as the WBA HWT title like there was not a CW title when you had three guys holding it. valuev and Chagaev are highly rated by that Commission which is still to have the one titlist and Champion, that's my take on the subject.
separating the belt by taking the belt apart in peices only proves that the belt can also die out , so if a boxer doesnt take it by beating a champion .
this is incredible but does that mean that the winner of valuev-chagev would of been the unified wba champion?
oh yeah the wba cruiserwieght fiasco totally forgot about that. who was it? hill had normal belt mormck super champ and who had interim?
