How is Toney done? He stopped Wlads last opponent. :nut If you've ever watched Toney fight you know he still has skills and in spirts he looked good.

Again if Sultan can make the final bell, Im sure Toney could aswell.

5 years ago I give him a shot. But as a Toney fan I couldn't imagine what Toney could do to get past Vlads jab.

His skills have diminished greatly in recent years.Hell he can barely even use his shoulder rolls anymore. His workrate is on the path to becoming nonexistent, he now just sits there and sways back and forth.

He will be a sitting duck for Vitalis jab which will eventually lead to the 1-2.

Look at Toney from the Jirov,Holy,or Ruiz fights this is not the same fighter.

    Come on.

I'm a huge Toney fan, can't stand Wlad, and even I'd be the first to say that Toney has done nothing in recent years to deserve this fight. Who the hell wants to see Toney - Klitschko when Toney is scraping by guys like Batchelder and getting gift wins over Oquendo?

The time for Klitschko - Toney was immediately after the Holyfield fight, when Lights Out would have been very dangerous for the statue. That ship, however, sailed long, long ago.

i can see already williamschicken.com on his back if he does fight. toney was a very good heavyweight, but he was good at wearing fighters down if he got inside. both klits have been trained to throw those short uppercuts on the inside vs. smaller fighters, like the one wlad landed on derrick jefferson. toney couldn't handle peter, now wlad? :patsch

Go look for it yourself, I'm not here to educate clueless trolls who start threads and don't know what the hell they're talking about.

Most of Klits opponents have not deserved there shots. If there is anyone who deserves a shot its Toney. In the last 4 years you could legitimately argue Toney beat Rahman, Ruiz and Sam Peters. What other reason do you need?

Legitimately argue the Peter fights? The first was a draw giving him every benefit of the doubt, the second he looked awful. He screwed up the Ruiz win himself with the steroid controversy, and who cares about Rahman? He's washed up even worse.

What we can legitimately argue is that while Toney went 0-2 against Peter, Wlad beat him and Vitali embarrassed him.

Eddie Chambers and Kevin Johnson would beat Toney right now. If Toney got a third crack at Peter on ESPN2 and looked halfway decent, I might take him seriously again.

He didnt price him self out in decembers fight. He was ready for it but team Klitchko thinked that Rahman is bigger in Germany.

Yes he did price his self out of it. Klitschko was looking for a replacement and Toney demanded more money if they wanted him to go so they ditched his ass for Rahman.

Same thing he did with Vitali back when he was suspended and lonely in Burger King for needing steroids to compete against Ruiz. Vitali calls him out and he demands more money for coming off a NC and suspension.

Toney is a joke in the heavyweight division alongside Valuev.
