I agree Graham has his flaws and i think he's often overrated by British fans actually. But he wasn't well managed or promoted and his world title fights came well into his career.I actialyl don't think Tito would have done much better in his place. He sure as hell wasn't going to beat Kalambay or McCallum, hell he'd probably have retired after losing those and not got to Jackson at all.

you can be sure Graham would have had a better career in terms of world title fight record had he been able to get a title shot early in his career against a fading, fairly weak champ like Blocker.Being a middleweight in the eighties was a lot tougher.

Joppy was sloppy mate...I to think he was just about one of the most mediocre titlists this division has seen. He had some natural athleticism..some speed, power and explosiveness..but his overall skillset was quite average actually.

Bomber arguably beat McCallum and Kalambay, he came bloody close..the former of which was a much better jnr middleweight then Tito ever was or could be...In those fights and in others he showed he was a better fighter then Joppy by a clear margin..As Mante said it was a harder era to bag a title in.

Graham was already past his best by the time he fought Kalambay the first time.

He lost on a split decision to Mike McCallum after losing a point for a low blow, and was making Jackson look silly before chasing a needless KO when it would have been stopped at the end of the round anyway.

Bomber would make Tito look silly. At 154 he was more durable....Graham, wide(ish) UD

Its a good point. Graham gets a little over romanticised sometimes. However I feel Graham was pretty unlucky to loose the decision against Mike Mccallum despite his questionable tactics. So he can hang with elite level fighters. (Certainly the likes of Willaim Joppy:lol:)

Graham very clear ud as its also an awful style match up for Trinidad.

I don't really believe that this is debateable. I cannot envisage Graham beating Tito Trinidad who beat better fighters than Herol Graham in his career. I think Herol is overrated by the Brits. The truth of the matter is that everytime he stepped into world class he was defeated. Trinidad only ever lost to fellow greats B-HOP, RJJ and Winky.

winky was a good fighter no more than that he was champ when not many truely world class middles were around so to say he was a great is a bit much,as a brit i think we do overate graham but i think americans overate winky too,i also think jackson was a better lightmiddle than tito and would ko tito in a great fight

Isn't Herol Graham the guy in the " OOOOHHHH NOOOO " vid?

Tito would sucker him into a slugfest and wax him in short order.

Whether Tito and Jackson would have beaten each other is irrelevant. They both would stop Graham in fact Jackson did in spectacular fashion.

    That would be him

"But he's falling ever further behi---OH NOOOOOO! That's what we had been worried about!"

Graham should win (he has a lot of advantages over Tito that would make it a real snoozer) but I'd still pick Tito. I just can't get that Jackson KO out of my head. Graham was a great fighter but his two performances on the biggest stage (Jackson and McClellan) just make it hard to pick him in this one.

What, like yourself in regards to Graham outside of him getting sparked by one of the hardest P4P punchers of all time and other cookie cutter points regarding him?

MAN that was some shot. One of those punches where you'd swear the guy was dead on the spot.
