He just didnt come in as prepared this time, got frustrated by Leonard's antics and tactics and quit.

 

Very good comparison. But while we're still living in this era it's way too hard to accurately judge it.
Give it 10 -15 years and we will re-watch and see how much we miss these guys.

I don't see how anyone can question the talent of the current four.Look at their bodies of work who they beat through the years and their dominant reigns.Not to mention with Pac and Marquez marching on.They could be remembered as two of the best who ever did it.

Honestly right now it will be too much criticism, because people don't understand what they're witnessing(HOW CAN YOU). I guarantee in 20 years they will be looked at in the same light.

 

He was never the same after that. He was knocked by Hearns in 2nd round. You are talking about his impeccable record as a lightweight. His only sterling performance was his decision win against Leonard. After that, he was on a downslide.

 

Not for anything, Pac stands among the 4 considering his ascent from 108 to 140-143. He should be credited for fighting for fighting in 3 weight divisions in one year and winning them. I can say that his greatness at the moment has already exceeded Leonard's.

 

No...Im talking about his fights at welterweight...He looked damn near perfect against Speedy, Palomino and Leonard the first time around.

His out of the ring issues are well documented and that had probably more to do with his patchy record after this fight then anything...When he was focused and trained his arse off he showed against Hagler and Barkley at the ages of 32 and 37 respectively, that he wasnt yet finished with his world class peformances.
