I love Izzy..whats not to love about him?...but like Gatti with Ward, he gets romanticized for his wars with Marquez.

I think Castillo is a better fighter and has overall the better record.

 

kostya is very overated on these boards....bigtime !!!

As WhataRock pointed out, he's got the better resume. I think at his peak he was just a better fighter too, although not by leaps and bounds.

He's the only one too. I mean, the ESB lounge is full of level headed posters and threads that don't exagerate their chosen favourite fighters careers...

Are you trying to say that Kostya isn't greater historically than Vasquez or
Castillo? Because on acheivement alone there's no way you can compare them even though I will grant you Castillo's first fight with Corrales and the Marquez trilogy are all more exciting fights than any in Kotsya's resume.

he was outboxed by larios that time, even izzy vazquez punches just seem to hurt larios...that was the fight that catapolled larios in the ring magazine top 20 list...pacquiao was just top 30 in his 122 reign...
