But if The Ring awarded a championship for such a match when there were a clear one and two in the division that had not met, that would be disappointing and at odds with their stated standards.

 

You're grasping at straws here. Wladimir has been the top guy for quite awhile now & the winner of Wladimir vs. the undefeated WBA beltholder should be for the Ring title & they recognize this.

of coarse he is but will they ever meet in the ring? they already agree to no and ring cant force it in less no belt period but why do that? i have no problem with #1 vs #3 for the title since its a fact #1 and #2 will not fight each other. and i really doubt vitali would be disputing that he deserves the title over wlad. let me ask you this for instance haye and wlad do fight july 11 would you be ok if was for the ring title as well? just want to know or do you stand behind #1 vs #2?

If Haye beat Wladimir (or, indeed, Chagaev beat Wladimir), then either of them could at that point fight Vitali for the Ring belt.

 

I want to see the Wladimir v Haye fight but it is not my fault that Haye pulled out of the fight. I really want to see it but Haye does not want.

Even though Cobbler is acting like a complete twit - I do think he has a point. Chagaev is as inactive fighter who's claim to fame is barely outpointing the giant sloth Valuev. He's such a fringe #3 no to mention all of his inactivity over the last two years that I'm not sure how TheRing can really feel justified in awarding Wlad a belt for beating him.

 

He is undefeated and has fought and beat better competition than Haye at heavyweight yet you have no issue with Haye getting the fight?
