Cotto wanted to fight Williams in Feb but was told to fight Michael Jennings or face getting the Mikkel Kessler syndrome.

    Likewise with Joshua Clottey.

Dont remember him wanting to fight Paul at all. I doubt Arum would throw him in there with Paul right after he got ktfo by marg.

You don't have the slightest ****in idea what the **** you talkin bout.

PW can make 147 easier than Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Shane, and Hatton.

With all the training for the Winky fight, he had to eat and eat just to keep up to a respectable weight. He is a welter.

    Face it.

Thats not even the same thing  Paul is fighting 2 divisions up.

Paul Williams weighed 165 against Winky. He can make 147. (Mosley and Margo both weighed 160 at 147)

You just don't want Williams to come and ruin the mix at 147 everyone is ignoring him with the exception of Clottey at 147.

Williams can fight at 147 if he can make it, and he says he can make it and he's not far off from the looks of it.

Berto's people probably wouldn't feed him to Mayweather. But Collazo is proven at welterweight. He had two rugged fights with Hatton and Berto where you could have easily given him the nod.The only decisive loss coming against Mosley.

If Mayweather beats Marquez it is simply he beat the smaller man. He's not gonna get the credit for it. If he beats say Collazo or Berto he then beat a legitimate proven welter.

If Mayweather plans on moving to 140 then I understand this. But if he plans on going back to welter what was the point besides a payday.

Don't say he is not a true welter cause if he wasn't he would have happily met Marquez in the middle at 140.

They're hypocritical for ducking Paul Williams? Cotto didn't duck Williams as much as he's pretty much barred from acknowledging his existence. Likewise n Clottey. Mosley on a number of occasions has said he'll fight Paul but that Williams isn't his first choice. Basically Mosley is in one of those "If I have to..." deals. Honestly I don't blame Shane for trying to go after the bigger fish first...the dudes got a resume to rest on when it comes to taking on big name opponents and not fearing anybody. Williams is also all sorts of wrong for Mosley and I'm sure he knows that as well.

Margarito is an interesting situation and one that would require the sort of finger strokes I'm not willing to dish out at this point in time. Anybody who knows their Williams- Margarito history knows the two sides at this point.

Man if Paul Williams had as many real fans as he does message board fans, he'd be a box office draw by now.

On Boxeo Azteca, right after his loss. He stated he wanted Williams or Margarito in his return fight. Then later on after that, he stated he wanted a tougher opponent (Cintron or Paul Williams) for his return fight and didn't feel Michael Jennings was worthy enoough. Arum told him take the Jennings fight or risk sitting out ALL of 2009.

Ask any of the Cotto efficianados and they'll tell you. It was a pretty big deal, full of speculation that Cotto would try to sit out his contract or break free from Arum.

I dont have to face anything nucca,If Willy is a welter he sould fight there then he would have a much bigger case that the top welters are ducking him but when his last three fights were above that weight it just sounds dumb when he says those guys are ducking him.

He should go after Pavlik or Abraham im sure those two wouldnt duck him.

Mosely flat out said he didn't like the style matchup.

Cotto been called out for years. Nothing happened.

Margarito at least had the guts to fight him once. But that probably ruined everyone's willingness after that.

All I'm saying, is that if Floyd is a chicken, then what about everyone else?

If floyd chose to fight collazo or berto there would be excuses. Its not about who floyd fights, people just want to see him lose.

    Sure...

The same old "fight someone else" argument. Point is... everyone on here is comfortable calling out Floyd, but their favorite WW is dong the exact same ****. Period. No matter how you try to spin it as "PW's fault for jumping weight" the fact remains that he wouldn't have to if people would man the **** up.
