actually we were told by the WBA today that Chagaev is the champ..at least at this point... its very confusing...WBA may not sanction this fight, but RING is in for sure...The WBA is a joke and we all know it... circle jerk of Chagaev, Valuev, and Ruiz:nut

Chagaev isn't a good HW anymore unfortunately. Which is sad because only 2 years ago, I thought he'd be a star in the division.

Injuries, backing out of fights, REALLY poor performances are just the tip of the iceberg on the downfall for Chagaev.

The only other logical choice was Povs but I guess we'll have to cross that bridge at another time.

Haye better get himself a fight this summer with a contender, no more of this Monte Barrett bull****.

look im going to the fight, im from the uk and im very gutted about Haye, but to get a replacement fighter at 2 weeks notice, who holds part of the WBA title and throw in the ring title, its probably the best case from a bad situation.

Haye needs to step back, fight in august september against a top 10 fighter, then hopefully fight the winner of klit/povetkin.

No one is to blame for this, its just a shitty situation, no one is ducking anyone, they both signed to fight each other!!!!

Im one of Haye's biggest fans and he'll be the most gutted person out of all of us.

But you know some will discredit a Wlad win by saying Chag was on his death bed.

Is WBA sanctioning this as a WBA title fight? Wlad is unranked due to his championship status in other orgs, and Valuev was the mandatory for Chageav, no?

Not that the WBA belt means much anyway. We fans will know who the best is (in this case Wlad). I'm just curious.

Or they could look at Drummond and Skelton and draw their own conclusions.

Chagaev is still a top 10 HW (sort of) and on short notice this is a good fight. It just lacks the fire that Haye vs Wlad would've had.

I dont care if he is sick or not but he has no chance to beat wlad!
I really would love to see him or someone to give wlad problems but i dont see that in chagaev at all!

They vare working on it..it very well may not be sanctioned (thank you Don King) but RING is in...its a great situation from a bad one..this kind of fight on 2 weeks notice...credit to both fighters
