HBO will only approve Wlad/Haye for July 11, not interested in Chagaev as replacement

They brought McCline out from retirement, that was not a significant heavyweight fight at all.

I applaud this decision. HBO is wise not to blow their budget on a fight that will generate little interest here in the states.

Doesn't make sense at all. First of all, it's a heavyweight unification bout, which are ****ing rare, and second, Wlad has a contract with HBO in that they air any bout, including the Rahman and even the Austin fight.

the problem is that haye might not be healed in time, then he would have wasted even more time. this way he is going to get recognized as the ring champ and haye can prove himself as a HW.

    I don't understand HBO!

They didn't show the Fights of Vitali and they are not interested in a HW-Unification in front of 60.000 fans.

On the other hand they are telecasting meanigless fights like de la hoya vs forbes or hyping Peter as the next thing.

we actually heard the same thing. I dont know..Maybe Haye was just pushing to hard...the extra weight IMO is a factor on his back injury...an extra 18-20 lbs can really screw things up

They said at the beginning of the year that will not buy fights that are mismatches and this one has mismatch written all over it.

HBO can makes us watch Arreola vs McCline, but they can't show the fight between #1 & #3 Heavyweights in the world.:nut

    Interesting results.

  15. This sort of thing doesn't happen in the real world. You CANNOT fake an injury to get out of a multi million Euro contract, if someone gets wind Wlads ppl could sue the hell out of Haye. It wouldn't be worth it for Haye. Espciallly in a fight he has worked so hard to get
