I like Froch, but does anyone seriously think he could beat B-Hop?!

Wow, not sure if you joking or not?

Hop would easily outclass carl, poss even stop him late. I really like carl, great attitude and talks some sense (particularly when he shuts up about calzaghe!) but hops would pick him apart.

Only hope is that hops gets REALLY old overnight even then hops prob got enough experience and crafty enough to sneak through.

Dinamita, amazingly i agree with every point you made in the first half of your post, however i dont understand how you come to the conclusion that Froch (a counter puncher, and notoriously slow starter) gets countered by a defensive boxer ? I'm happy to buy into the BHop win,but dominating a counter puncher by countering ???????

  4. B-Hop has to get old one day

His age will catch up to him at some point, and if it does Froch has a chance

Froch has next to no chance of beating Hopkins. It just ain't happening. I don't think Froch has much chance of getting past Bute either. If he does beat Bute (assuming the fight happens) I think Froch should get a lot credit.

I'm absolutely stunned by some of the posts.BHop has stopped nobody at light heavy, and since he moved from Middleweight he's only stopped one fighter, but then again the fighter in question was also stopped by a blown up featherweight so that is irrelevant.BHop will not stop Froch,if some folk are so sure of it then hang there rep on the line and agree to quit the forum if BHop doesn't stop Froch.:good

Yeah, and "wee Barry" and Richie Woodhall also predicted that Calzaghe would not only surprise Lacy but would beat him convincingly. They were ridiculed for this after the American press had proclaimed Lacy the SMW Tyson, and predicted a KO win for Lacy.

Hell if the fight happens I will sport the gayest avatar imaginable for a whole year if B-Hop loses to Froch. I like Froch but as said previously, this would be like the Pavlik-Hopkins fight all over again.

I like Frochy but he is no Calzaghe. I give him a slight edge over Bute but think BHOP would outbox him to a UD. Carl's only hope would be if BHOP get's old over night and that his reflexes have slowed.

That being said, Froch doesn't bring the $$ to the table at this point and I doubt the fight can be made.

I hope Froch fights Hopkins. Hopkins will take his soul and his "0" and enhance his legacy even further for an EASY payday. He won't break a sweat. He'll see that right hand or lunging upper cut coming a mile away and counter. If he isn't countering, he'll lead with that right hand. He would just toy with Froch.

depends if Froch goes for it from the off, hopkins cant handle going full throttle for 12 rounds not any more so froch has a chance. maybe its worth asking taylor:p

    Picking Hopkins by late KO.

Pavlik is a better fighter than Froch in my view and we saw what happened there.

Unless B-hop age has finally caught up with him this is a massive mismatch
