It now looks like there will be a heavyweight title fight on June 20th that will feature Wladimir Klitschko and Ruslan Chagaev. I am now trying to make sense as to the results, outcomes, and consequences of such title unification.

According to the WBA, there is a delay on the ruling regarding the circumstances that led to the cancellation of Valuev-Chagaev II.

In addition, it has been posted on boxrec.com that the W. Klitschko-Chagaev fight will feature the IBF title, WBO title, IBO title, the WBA title, and the vacant Ring Magazine title. Does this mean that the winner will become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world? In addition, what is the status of the WBA heavyweight championship belt. Is the true champion "WBA Regular Champion" Nikolai Valuev or the "WBA Champion in Recess" Ruslan Chagaev. Wouldn't the WBA title be then the WBA super World Heavyweight Title on the line? We were supposed to have clarity with the Valuev-Chagaev II fight, but once again, it is cancelled indefinitely. We will have a lineal champion but is that championship undisputed?

I see Chagaev as THE WBA titleholder, and from what I've seen and read, most everyone else does, too. Chagaev has never been beaten, and hence, his title has never been taken in the ring, so as far as the WBA goes, Chagaev is the man, period.

As to if the official WBA suits endorse the fight and put their WBA title on the line is a different story, but, that really don't matter if they do or not, cause the best the WBA has to offer (Chagaev) is fighting, period.

People, dont mix up undisputed, linear and the Ring Champ.

The winner of Klit-Chagaev will be linear champ and the Ring Champ (No.1 fighting No.3) but not undisputed, because there is Vitali with another legit title around.

Wlad will be the super WBA, WBO, IBF and ring, and unified champ but...

he wont be undisputed....to be undisputed you have to have all the titles and of course the WBC champ can stake a claim and "dispute the undisputed" make sense?

As far as linear Im not sure, Vitali was the linear champ..
But in my opinion any RING champ should be linear as well but im not sure how that plays out...

but as far as WBA he will be a super champ b/c he has other belts and his only mandatory will be the interm/regular WBA champ which he woudnt have to face for around a year

I see it this way ... If Wlad wins the fight than calls out Valuev ... the minute that Valuev turns it down he forfeits any claim he could possibly have.

He should have waited until July 11 for Haye.

And then he should wait until August after Haye's next excuse. Then september. Then he should wait til christmas while Haye gets over having chapped ass-cheeks from all the hayelords licking his rectum.

Haye got injured. It sucks if you are a hayelord, but it's a fact. Wlad is moving on. The rest of us have moved on. If you loosen your ****** grip on Haye's nuts then you might be able to move on too.

On the bright side for all the genuine Haye fans - if Haye gets another chance then he will have the opportunity to beat the ring champ and it's an even bigger prize for him.

No chance of being undisputed champ unless you are signed to Don King. His fighters have fought for that title for a zillion years now and although he has a piece of Valuev, he does not have promotional rights on Ruslan. If the proposed bout takes place, Chagaev is srtriped of his title before the bout or Klitschko is striped immediately after winning it==just like the Lewis/Holyfield bout.

Chagaev beat Valouev, the only one who has done such. Chagaev is a real heavyweight, unlike Haye, who is fake. Vlad will beat Chagaev, but it's a much more dangerous fight than Haye anyday.

Wlad beats him in a very lopsided UD.....chagaev does himself some good though in the long run.

Haye is the one who wanted to delay the fight, not Vlad. June 20th is important, Haye needed more time because he was not ready. Vlad can know Haye out later. Chagaev is a much more important fight than Haye any day.
