HBO doesn't want to broadcast a fight which will have something like 60,000 people in the stands with Wlad against an undefeated, proven beltholder in Chagaev yet they actually said they wanted something exciting like Arreola? Or an unproven chinny cruiserweight in Haye?

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! :rofl

Here's what even MORE hilarious: This is the same HBO that showed the Chad Dawson-Tony Tarver II stinker in front of like 3,000 -- THREE FREAKING THOUSAND -- in Vegas.

    And they're turning down 60,000?

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! :rofl

The same network that has hired a bug-eyed guy who continuously repeats that Chris Eubank knocked down Joe Calzaghe in their matchup is now shunning the best HW in the world and another legit beltholder but televising Dawson family get-togethers in Vegas with fights against geriatrics thrown in. LOL!!!!!

    Pure. Comedy. Gold.

Thank you, HBO. You made my night. This is why MMA is flourishing, boxing is going down the crapper and it's one more foot towards the grave for HBO's standing in the sport. LOL!!!!!!!!

    :lol::lol::lol:

I CAN'T WAIT to see the Chagaev-Klitschko fight and I'm eager to see which US provider has the brains to pick up the fumble (American football reference) which HBO just coughed up.

HBO did not show Vitali Vs. Peter, so Showtime did. HBO tried to get that fight after they made their stupid decision, but it was too late. If I were Vlad, I would make a new contract with Showtime ASAP.
    To Hell with HBO!

IMO, it's actually a more risky fight. I've always felt Chagaev has the best chance in the division to upset the Klitschkos.

Chagaev is a VERY tricky southpaw.

This is one of the dumbest business decisions I can recall a network featuring boxing making. BUT I LOVE IT -- because it shows just HOW dumb HBO really is. YES!!!!!!

I can see the slogan now:

I agree -- you could end up with a HUGE upset, in front of 60,000!

AND YOU'RE SAYING YOU WANT SOMETHING EXCITING LIKE CHRIS FREAKING TACO MAN ARREOLA!!!! OH MY FREAKING G_D!!! Is someone at HBO trying to get fired?!!?!

Seriously, this made my night. This is TREMENDOUS. You can't script idiocy like this.

Hey.........list the stupid fights HBO has shown................yes, they have made many stupid decisions and shown so many boring mismatches. Vlad Vs. Chagaev is not mismatch, but Vlad Vs. Haye was. HBO thinks boxing fans are extremely stupid.

There are so very many mismatches HBO has shown, but they did show them because they have so much disrespect for boxing fans. Hell, listen to their announcers?

Who cares if there will be 60,000 fans at the fight. That doesn't equal high ratings. Who the hell in the US is going to watch a Chagaev match up? He poses no threat and has no personality....

I agree with HBO let germany networks put the money up for this crap, haye would have been good, at least he would have had a chance to win the fight.

This makes sense, but Ruslan isn't like Ibragimov. He's a banger, he's coming to throw punches. If he found a way to land shots on Valuev he should be able to do the same with Wlad -- or get drilled trying, anyways.

Arreola brings excitement, same with Hayes plus they have power. Chagaev aint any different than all of Wlads other over hyped opponents. There wont be any huge upsets.:-(

HOLY FREAKING SH*T?!? Are you kidding me?

Haye has like, at best, a 10% chance of winning against Wlad. AT BEST. He's so much smaller, physically, has garbage defense, poor footwork and no chin. Oh yeah -- AND HE'S A CRUISERWEIGHT. LOL!!!!

Chagaev is a legit HW and 'solved' freaking Frankenstein Valuev. He's unbeaten. He's very technically sound and is a crafty lefty.

If anyone has a chance against Wlad, it's probably Chagaev. Haye is just Calvin Brock, Jr.

Wow. PLEASE tell me you didn't write what you wrote, or believe it. PLEASE!!!!!
