Who else out there, apart from David Haye, has a chance of beating Kiltschko?

I respectfully, very respectfully, disagree.

I think Haye is a great fighter and and Champion in his own right. Since no man can really unify all four major titles, I think what Haye accomplished at crusier made him a very legitimate champ. He also makess a fine heavy.

But you have to look at his successes and failures through the lens of being a crusier. Beating Mormeck, Maccarelli, and a couple of second rate heavies does not mean that his power will be effective agasinst the heavyweight champion, who, lets be real hear, has not tasted canvas since the Peter fight.

Conversely, Haye's chin has benn tested by non-championship fighers who were not even heavies.

It just doesn't add up. Haye moght very well be a good test for Wladdy, but he has done nothing to prove it.

Who would be a good test for Wladdy? Well, I would certainly say that Chagaev and Povetkin have proven MUCH more than Haye, and Dimentrenko at about as much.

 

At this stage in the game, I can't see anyone beating him except his brother. And we know that fight will never, ever happen. Wlad is here to stay.

 

cristobal arreola.....he is explosive same reason i gave haye a shot to beat wlad.

 

Arreolla, Valuev, Toney, Chagaev, Vitali, Dimitrenko and Povetkin come to mind.

Although I think that Wladimir is odds on favorite against every one of those except Vitali.

Still I think those guys have some change to beat him.

 

i believe vlad will jab to death anyone who comes near him, i believe haye is the only one with speed of foot and hand to get near him

These are the guys I feel have a chance...though I'd still make either Klit favourite over both of them.

 

I give Dimitrenko a good shot... He is tall and upright, good punch variety....

The last fighter Waldo had problems with was Thompson who also fights tall...
I think Dimitrenko can beat Klitschko

 

I know Valuev sucks, but I still can't help but wonder how Wlad would do against someone so much bigger than himself. Yes, he has all of the tools to dismantle Valuev, but he couldn't do his normal schtick of being tall jabbing and grabbing on when caught inside. He'd have to move and box, and he'd actually have a guy who could out reach him and lean on him...

Other than that, I can't think of anyone. Haye has a chance because he's fast and can crack. But he'd still be a big underdog.

My other very very very very very extremely long-shot is Oliver McCall. If his chin is as good as it was, he could whther a storm and maybe, how ever very unlikely it is deliver a knock out punch to Wlad. In all likelihood though. McCall is thoroughly outboxed by the younger, bigger man.

Everyones else in the heavyweigh division is some combination of fat, slow, old, or has no power.

 

Arreola might be stupid enough to beat Wladimir. He has a chance of walking through the jab and knocking him out. But it's literally lack of brains is why I say that. There are a few guys moving up the ranks who, depending on how the develop, appear to have the tools to beat someone like Wlad (Tyson Fury, Tor Hamer, Kasim Howard), although by the time they're ready to fight Wlad, Wlad will be faded anyway. Good head movement and power is the way to beat Wlad, and nobody in the HW division right now (Toney aside, but he has no power and doesn't throw punches) moves their damn head.

I'd pick Povetkin or peak Chagaev over the Vitali who beat Gomez. Actually, there are a lot of guys who could possible upset that version of Vitali (Thompson, Dimitrenko, even Kingpin), although I'd still favor Vitali against all of them.

 

Some good ideas there, man. A Wlad-Valuev fight would be very interesting because I believe Wladimir would have to open up more than usual. Valuev has nothing for him to worry about, but it would be fun to watch.

What if Wlad went in there with a prime Oliver Mccall? :shock:That would be interesting too.... but its only a pipedream.

The only challenge Toney can beat Klitschko at is clearing the buffet table.

 

Haye has no real chance of beating Vlad. He just does not have the tools to do such. Vlad has done so very much more than Haye will ever do. Vlad/Haye fight is a total mismatch, it really is. Chagaev has a much better chance to beat Vlad, but I doubt if he will.
