Seeing Wlad has decided to move on.....What are Haye's options after he heals?

Does he fight another heavyweight before fighting Wlad?

Or does he sit all the way out till nov. or dec. of this year?

I personally think he should fight as soon as he is 100%

    Your thoughts?

i think eddie chambers is a good tune up for haye before wlad....i think chambers in underrated, and imo could now beat povetkin in a rematch.....povetkin looked so bad in his last fight.

He has to fight again he cant just wait, wlad might even fight povetkin next and then fight haye in the spring of '10 which is what i think is going to happen...

its according to how bad his injury is and i think its a little more serious than they are letting on being that the pulled theplug on the fight so fast so if he really can fight in july i would say go after another top 10 and then go all out to push for an arreola, chambers, or even vitali..

i wasnt impressed with vitali his last fight he looked more sluggish than i have ever seen him and i was thinking that if that was a prime haye than haye would have probably beat him in that fight...

if haye beats say chambers/arreola and another top 10 than he would be a #1 by then and he would have his choose to fight either klitch...

interesting, i agree mostly with this...i did think age was creeping on vitali in his last fight against gomez.....young vitali would have been out of there in 5 rounds....

i've heard rumblings about haye vs arreola, but doubt it would actually happen.

Haye's self promotional genius almost got him a totally undeserved shot.

Wlad will now fight Chagaev, Povetikin and the winner of Dimentrenko-Chambers. So what is next for Haye depends if he is serious about being champ, or was just looking to cash in all along.

If Haye is just looking ot cash in, he can just as easily fight Vitaly. Sorry to his fans, but Vitaly will murder him, as his power, chin and size are just prohibitive for a chinny crusier.

If he serious about being champ, its back to the drawing board. Although I think he has no chance to beat Wlad either, his fans (and possibly he himself) think his power gives him a shot. Afer this fiasco (whether it is his fault or not) he is going to have to go back to the drawing board and prove himself agaisnt real heavies to get another shot at Wlad.

I think Haye beats Vitali Klitschko, who based on his last outing is a lot slower and a less mobile than the guy who fought Lennox Lewis. A few years ago I would've said otherwise, but looking at the Sam Peter fight, Vitali's reflexes and handspeed are pretty poor and that spells doom against someone like Haye.

IMO I think Haye should fight Povetkin. I'd love to see this fight. And in makes sense in a lot of ways.

A good chance for Povetkin to really cash in and a good chance for Haye to set up a mega fight with a legit claim.

Povetkin is a good fighter who's style would be hard for Haye to deal with. Haye's undoing is against pressure fighters, and Povetkin is a really good guy at keeping the pressure on.

However, I do seem to recall Povetkin getting outboxed for large perios of time against Eddie Chambers, which also says that against someone with handspeed and skill he can often be vulnerable. Haye has the same handspeed as Chambers, but huge power to go with it too. He's even possibly a naturally bigger man, coz chambers is basically a fat cruiserweight whereas Haye has been a heavyweight in all but name for the last few years now.

Yeah i think haye would be to fast for Vitali as long as he doesnt get caught with any big shots

i think arreola wont take a chance until he fights on of the K2 bros..

arreola is taylor made to make haye look incredible and i would love to see it but truthfully i think he could look good fighting in HW as long as they dont run and dont hit him flush on the chin..

thats why i think haye should take a year to geet used to the weight and him and wlad will be a huge fight and haye will only get better..

people should be lining up to fight him, he is the second biggest draw of the HWs so his opponent will get paid well so i hope to see him get a couple of good fights before he fights wlad he might be able to beat vitali by the end of the year if vitali isnt 100 percent..

Yep - all true. And it'd be interesting to see how this played out, especially in the later rounds.

Povetkin has his mandatory due and haye might have to wait until this is over with to have his shot at Wlad (or infact Povetkin). Povetkin I think is the kind of person who would take the fight. He's also the kind of fighter who seems to find a way to get the win and Haye would bring out the best in him.
