Please enlighten us novices as to when Hopkins last knocked an opponent stone cold ? How many Froch fights have you seen ? ive seen them all and Froch always fights off his back foot,he never pushe's the fight unless he thinks he can finish an opponent or as in the Taylor fight where he was obviously concerned about the 10-8 round. The only thing thats ludicrous is that some people think all Hopkins has to do is turn up ! Hopkins will not do to Froch what he did to Pavlik i'll guarantee it.Pavlik was weak at the weight, was not in the best of condition, and lost heart as soon as he realised he couldn't hurt Hopkins.Froch with all his faults is still strong, fit, and will never lose heart.

I never said anything about knocking him out stone cold, I said getting him out of there. Mostly through someone throwing in the towel when they see the beating he's taking. Bernard has buckled Pavlik, Calzaghe and Tarver. 3 guys up until that point were famed for their ability to take a punch. Hopkins has power. He's just very cautious when he uses it. Given Froch almost non-existent defensive capabilities, I see Hopkins more then willing to open up.
I've seen atleast 3 fights, and not once have I seen Froch fight off the back foot. Nor display any credibly counter punching ability.

Froch said every punch Taylor threw hurt him, now imagine what a true 175lb fighter with a plethora of stamina would do to him?

Buckled Calzaghe ?????? are you serious,Calzaghe was caught off balance and hardly even blinked after going down.

Surely you cannot mean Hopkins ? his stamina issues are well documented, why do you think he tries to slow fights down to his pace, and if he can't he hugs and spoils.

Hopkins knocked Calzaghe down atleast once and buckled him on the other occasion. Right before the end of the round, I forget which one. Everybody makes fun of it on here, its when Calzaghe does his slappy routine, Hopkins ducks and lands a flush right to Calzaghe chin and he stumbles back.

To be honest i couldnt agree more, froch has a lto of heart and he has shown that however against a top drawer oponent such as B-Hop he would be simply out classed however he may still have a punchers chance if B-Hop doesnt show up..

However this fight wont happen as B-Hop will want to much so, its actually up to Froch on whether or not this fight takes place as B-Hop will want around 60-40 if not more

froch going for bhop makes me laugh, he kept going on about calzaghe fightint the "old" fighters now he's going for him too? Anyway this will just be bhop vs pavlik 2 but with more chance of froch being stopped

froch isnt a skilled fighter - hes an opportunistic one.

and thats how he'll be remembered.

exactly how clinton woods will too.

    Agreed.

The best Froch can hope for vs B-Hop is to lose 118-110 IMO

True, Froch defo was diggin' into Cal for fighting Jones Jr.

That said, B-Hop is a different animal.
But I can't help & wonder when his age will step up & take charge.
