I'm a big fan of Shane. He has tested himself over and over. Won some and lost some. At this point in his career he only has a few fights left. Paq and Mayweather are huge paydays and both fights are winable in my opinion. A fight with Paul might be the fight that makes Mosley look old and destroy his chances at Paq. and May. If he chooses a safer path waiting for a potential mege fight I can't fault him, it would be a good business decision. He has fought some of the best of his era.

Williams is just too big for Shane imo.

I actually don't mind if Shane avoids him.

Williams is not a welterweight anymore.

Have to agree with him on this one. Goosen accepted and then turned down $1.25 million to fight Pavlik. HBO money. Well documented and the reason Arum won't do business with him.

I wish Shane would take the challenge and use a similar blueprint as in the Margarito fight. Fight aggressively and use body shots early in the fight to slow Williams down later in the fight. Nazim Richardson would come up with a great strategy no doubt.

Now that Paul has gone up to 160 I wonder how drained he may be trying to get back to 147 if a big fight did present itself.

Why? Cause of your so called sourse from your so called buddys? Hell i can say i have a so called source from a so called buddy and i got prove Pavlik duck to fight Williams. If i remember right pavlik have said few times that he won't fight williams cause he would get bashed on by beating a ww. But i guess fighting mora is a better fighter huh hermit?

I don't know what caused goosen to do that.

    But Shane did say no.

Then changed his tune to not right now.

    Sounds about right.

I do think that Williams is the best welter out there but will anyone give him the chance to prove it?

Mosley would either lose by UD or a stoppage after the half way point. Just can't see him winning.

paul williams is the best welterweight in the world, he is a welterweight, he can also fight at 154, 160, and maybe even 168 some day.

Williams is 2-1 versus top 10 WW's. Rather then looking for ther biggest name at any weight, how about defeating other top contenders and make himself a mandatory. And if beating Margarito YEARS ago makes Williams the best WW...well Shane did it more impressively just recently.

It's ironic how Williams claimed Kirkland was too "unknown" for him, yet expect others to jump at a guy who's resume is NOt that impressive yet nor is a draw of any kind. Maybe he should go fight Ishe Smith since both need a partner.
